Believe there’s something to the idea that having a good football team raises all the other teams in the AD

Wondering if our money guys have thought the same and that’s one of the reasons they’re committing more money to the football program.

So many ppl are saying this is all because of how Hunter fricked up all the seating and kicked out all the die hards and blue collars and give the lower bowl away to the wine and cheesers.

Is this all in that? Or are ppl just so demoralized they DGAF anymore.

This has everything to do with Hunter's handling of the seating.

Yeah the people who've had those seats for ever didn't donate as much as people who want to have a spot for the big home games when they happen.

The poor attendance allows Hunter to make the case and justify reducing the capacity and increase the amount of premium accommodations in seating which is his goal.

He's created a problem to be fixed by his solution all preplanned.

The real solution is to have students on will call and allow as many as is wanting to walk in and claim an unused paid seat for free starting 5 minutes before tip off.

It’s a Tuesday with overpriced tickets and expensive food. The games look better on TV. Expanding the stadiums over the last 2 decades while tv was getting better in stupid. $500-1000 take a family of 4-5 with good seats and souvenirs, food, etc… in a shitty economy. It isn’t going to happen, when you can have more friends over to watch the games in your living room and see a better product.

All that and an AD, who has depressed the shite out of your fanbase by not pushing NIL sooner and being behind the 8 ball.

Ideally the Walton clan would donate $ to build a new 14,000 seat arena. Plan 2 would be a complete renovation of bud and put the students in the lower bowl with a capacity reduction

Should have already happened but instead we kicked the radio crew up in the stands so the Hunts snd Tysons could have bench recliners with the team.

I know multiple long-term seat holders (like multigenerational) who cancelled their season tickets for basketball with the renewal fiasco. It definitely left a bitter taste in the mouths of a lot of the diehard fanbase.

I don’t care about the radio crew, but the recliners look dumb courts side.

We are already seeing the real price of this. In the "hot" days of Arkansas Basketball the always there faithful would have helped rally the team against Winthrop. Teams that play in front of dead crowds tend to play dead ball.

8,000 people screaming their heads off is more motivating than a 1,000 people laying around in their recliners and using the game to Social Network.

When I lived in town, I had tickets and would go to as many games as possible and take a kid. What ruined it for me, before HY, (warning: old man rant) all the damn ribbon boards, big arse scoreboard, and stupid distractions that nothing to do with the game. I had been going since the Kleine-Robertson seasons. I had to quit or stroke out.

Tickets are not overpriced, less than $8 on stubhub for days before the Winthrop game. They can't give them away. No one wants to watch scrubs anymore, especially midweek.

Exactly. I cheered as Pookie Modica dropped 37 on the gamecocks, and this is what I get?

sold mine for 5 bucks... Parking was 10 bucks.

I do not want to drive 3 hours each way, pay for meals, for a week night game against someone who shouldn't almost beat us.

Should just allow students to be in the lower bowl every midweek game.

Looks to be pregame. The managers are just now rolling the ball racks to the floor with no plain sight

Wish they’d turn the upper ring into the student section. Build them their own entrance and offer $1 beers only in that section. Anything would be better than the current environment. And this team is fun to watch so I don’t get it
