Hoping this doesn't come off as a troll, because I'm genuinely curious about how the fanbase feels about him.

He is mainly responsible for the program's best era since before we landed on the moon, but he has also openly (and kinda brazenly) flirted with other jobs within the conference for the past two seasons.

That's gotta be weird right?

I feel like one school is about to seriously over pay for a coach who usually has a good offense and struggles on defense who has not won anything as a head coach and has gotten fired.

Most are ready to hang him on social media. I wouldn't let him coach the Miss St game if I was Ole Miss.

Kiffin is essentially giving them a giant middle finger, while still saying, “Leave a plate of dinner for me warm in the oven.”

It’s the height of disrespect. Good on Ole Miss for issuing the Egg Bown ultimatum. At some point, you have to take a stand.

Ole Miss already said he has to make a decision before the egg bowl earlier today.

Paul Bryant interviewed for NFL jobs and almost took one once, changing his mind at the last second

He hasn't really flirted with any jobs other than Auburn in 2022 so it's not really an annual occurrence. Don't confuse the media lumping him into every coaching search with him actually being interested.

Lane's a great offensive coach. He's a great game-planner and schemer and has become a better game manager the last few years.

Salty take from a fanbase that thought for sure they were beating OM, didn’t, and are trying to distract from how much of a dumpster fire program they have rn. 34-24, Lacy 244 yds 3 TDs skulldrug

People may think as an Alabama fan I have no idea what it feels like, but they'd be wrong.

My guess is they will hate the frick outta him, even more so than LSU fans hated Saban. They will take extra delight in every failure.

Leaving college for the NFL is one thing. It's why LSU fans celebrated Saban even when he left for Miami... until he came back to a direct SEC rival.

Kiffin is cutting out that middle-man.

idk, with how beholden teams are to the portal these days, it puts coaches in a tough spot and I won't fault someone for trying to maximize his value by cultivating a bidding war. But from the outside looking in, I feel bad for Ole Miss in all this, which is crazy because they are in a great spot in terms of the postseason.

As an LSU fan we lived this life with Nick Saban every year. Both LK,NS are for one thing ,themselves. It does get agraviting as a fan and admin.OM officials seem to have had enough ,but LK DGAF about them.

I think it’s just win baby. If he stays and he wins then he was just trolling and they love him

Oh if this ends with Kiffin getting a fat new contract at Ole Miss while turning down two SEC programs that have historically been better, they will treat him like an even bigger king, regardless of how far they go in the postseason.

But then what happens if/when he is again flirting with another SEC school this time next season?

My buddy is a huge OM fan and booster. He seems more annoyed with kiffin than anything.

FWIW, as an LSU I think what kiffin is doing is wrong. I know the game has changed and all that good stuff, but I dont like it.
