Conference schedule is VERY weak. It’s not their fault, just part of the woes of conference expansion. The win over ND looks more solid by the week.

I’m just trying to figure out if last week was the mark of a championship team coming back, or a sign of a flawed team squeaking one out at home against inferior competition.

FWIW- they’re obviously top 12 and are pretty much a lock for the CFP. In a year where it’s murky after Ohio State (and I think Indiana), the bracket could be wild.

Well

When everything goes wrong, and all your passes are dropped, and your field goal of attempts miss the uprights and two of your quarterbacks passes go into the hands of the defense

You don’t win a game

Unless it’s just for a half

And if you play very good ball you can hold the opposing team to zero points while you score 28 points

To overcome what happened in the first half

We already know all the teams we have beaten are terrible.

Well they’re 1 point better than a 3-7 South Carolina squad

They appear to be pretty good. But haven’t played an SEC team with a winning record in conference (11-37 combined) so we don’t know “how good”.

But 10-0 is pretty good no matter how you slice it.

I would say have looked the best in the SEC so far….whipped our asses at home. Although I’m still not convinced they would beat UGA or Bama. This could def be the year they prove people wrong

Good enough to score 35 unanswered on LSU in under a half. If they can ever put 2 good halves of football together without stepping on their dicks, they can beat anyone.

I think we can beat anyone in the country and lose to a lot of teams.

Are we good? If Indiana’s good, we’re good.

Are we championship quality? I don’t know, but I’m sure excited to find out.

Rant: So much parity this year!

Also rant: The teams they played are SO MUCH WORSE than the teams other people played!

Think that applies to about 8-10 teams, and A&M probably has a higher ceiling than most of them. We just don't quite know how high their ceiling is yet because they've only played 1 of the other 8-10 (and won, on the road). But they've certainly earned the right to find out.

Spotted another sec team 27 points so everyone would shut up about the schedule and then came back and won ez. even coulda scored more.

Beat one team so bad they fired everyone and the governor had to get involved cuz went into 60 million worth of debt crying about it.

How would you compare us to the rest of your schedule based on our game with you? What did your eyes see in that game?

I’m not in that crowd. I think last year the SEC was “down” a bit, and it looks similar this year. A larger sample size will decide if that’s not really true and we live in NIL-driven parity as the norm.

We got used to there being a true powerhouse that was damn near untouchable. Alabama…Georgia…etc.

I don’t even think Ohio State really looks the part, but again…conference expansion scheduling. It seems like whereas you used to have 4 major games a year, you have maybe 2. And that can be rendered meaningless if it’s at the end of the year and your positioning is relatively solid.

Hell we don’t even know. We have won some road games in tough places. We haven’t played well as an entire team yet for four quarters. We have had quarters of brilliance as good as anyone. If we could play a complete game like the second halves of the LSU, Missouri and SCar …we are as good as anyone.

Super high ceiling, pretty damn low floor. Yall and Ole Miss would be the best we’ve played.
