I know nobody likes being talked down from the ledge immediately after a gross loss, but..

If we win at Auburn in two weeks we clinch a spot in the SEC title game and finish 7-1 in the SEC against an insanely difficult schedule. Given our recent history at Auburn that's obviously no sure thing, but we navigated the middle of the season well enough to earn the right to eat a shite game like this and still be alive and kicking.

There are serious issues that have to be addressed if we actually want to contend, but the defense is peaking at the right time and we are still in position to accomplish our goals.

Okay. Keep talking. I’m listening. Just don’t make any sudden moves.

Think most of us are just venting. We'll be ok after 24 hours.

However if we lose at au I will find some trees on my property and symbolically poison them.

Seems to be a recurring theme, these past 2 years.

Agree 100% with this. Alabama had the most difficult schedule in the SEC and perhaps the country this year. To go 7-1 in SEC play with the schedule we had is very impressive. Our resume beating ranked teams this year is the best in CFB and it’s not close. The OSU game we would have won 99/100 we just got real u lucky on a few key turnovers.

In 2 weeks at Auburn we are gonna find out if this team has the chest that last year's team didn't.

If we roll in there and handle them I'll feel like we've made tremendous progress.

If we go out there and look like zombies and find a way to lose to that horrible, coachless team with everything on the line, then Deboer is probably a lost cause.

The Iron Bowl is going to be the defining moment for DeBoer. I don't care what the delusional sunshine pumping boomers say, there is absolutely zero reason to feel optimistic and hopeful about walking into Jordan-Hare against an Auburn team that's had three weeks to prepare and whose strengths line up perfectly with our weaknesses. We're going in with no reliable kicker and a QB that's practically guaranteed to gift them at least one possession and possibly 3 points at the least… and all this with a playoff berth on the line? I dare anyone to bet the house on Bama.

If DeBoer pulls this off, he's definitely the guy without question. But if he loses? His seat is gonna be nuclear in 2026.

If he pulls what off? Beating Auburn? That would be a good win but that certainly doesn't prove he's the guy. The only way to really know a coach is the guy at Alabama is if they win the national championship.

You better temper your expectations. We got to see 6 in 17 years. But, it may not happen again in your lifetime. They are excruciatingly rare.

It’s a little crazy that people think national titles are that easy to come by. Saban isn’t normal
