In a TWELVE team playoff and he goes 0-2 in first two seasons, how much longer do you give him? He needs to make real changes. It seemed like a month ago we were great and then we went to Missouri and it all went to shite offensively. I can’t believe it but our defense is our strength

Edit to add he obviously get one more year. I’m not sure how much longer you give him if he goes 0-3 even fricking making the playoffs. I mean mother fricker guy. Win the mother fricking games you’re paid millions to win you pos

Edit again to add that the offensive line is our no 1 problem no questions asked.

He gets one more crack at it in 2026 before we part ways.

Back in 2026. Probably back in 2027 if it isn’t an implosion after the fans and money turn on him.

Yes. Three years. If he misses in 2026 then be probably gets canned in the following off season or middle of 2027.

He will enter 2026 on a scorching hot seat. That’s the blunt truth. From a macro perspective, he and his offensive staff seems overwhelmed with the stage that Alabama is on every single week in the SEC. I think that he’s a pretty good coach. But it takes a unique coach and personality to succeed at a high level at Alabama.

Lose to a headless AU and miss the playoffs again…tough scene for DeBoer

I think the op meant that, he's just asking after. I think we know who Deboer is. I think this game is exactly what we can expect from Deboer.

Worst case scenario we lose to Auburn and then lose our bowl game and end up 9-4 again. Firing a new coach who wins 9 games his first 2 seasons is how you end up being Auburn.

We shouldn't have lost 4 games. The guy wrecked last year what took Saban 17 years to build.

Yep. If we go down there and get embarrassed, miss out on the playoff again, the fan base will lose faith and the clock will start ticking on the Kalen DeBoer era in Tuscaloosa. He’s making $10 million a year to win at a high level. Making the playoff is a reasonable expectation. Missing two straight years after getting a wedgie by Oklahoma back to back seasons is not acceptable. Losing to an Auburn team with an interim coach wouldn’t be ideal.

If we miss the playoffs this year I won’t have a strong opinion either way about Deboer. I think he can succeed in a big way here, but that’s just my opinion and I have the self awareness to know I’m wrong a lot. If he loses to the barn and misses the playoffs and he were to hypothetically get fired for that, I wouldn’t be upset. It’s Alabama man. Don’t lose to Tennessee. Don’t lose to Auburn. If 12 teams get to play for a natty you are getting paid well enough to be one of them

No Milroe was a cancer on the team and he should have been shown the door.

we get to amp up the complaining. then we get to listen to the same old coachspeak next year. i'll go out on a limb and say we get to see pretty much the same results, again.

The loss to FSU is what could end up being the albatross around our neck if we lose to the barn. That game was unacceptable and could cost us dearly on selection Sunday if we shite the bed at Auburn.

Losing to the barn coupled with the FSU game maybe what seals his fate outside of a NC appearance in year 3

Lose to an Auburn team that otherwise wouldn't make a bowl game and miss the playoffs?

OR

Lose in the SECCG and miss the playoffs?

These are drastically different scenarios imo.
