We have to beat Auburn and we are in. That's all there is to it. If you lose 3 games, you have no case to be in a NC playoff. I'm cool with that if we lose to Auburn.

In the P4 conferences only 9 teams are 1 loss or less. And some play each other so it will be fewer by seasons end.
To avoid 2 loss teams you’d have to put in more g6 teams that will get smoked.
I’d argue the playoffs should just be the B12 champ, ACC champ, highest ranked g6 team and the rest from the SEC and B1G. 2-3 loss teams in the SEC and B1G are better than most all other teams outside those two conferences
