Rejoice. YouTube TV and ESPN reach an agreement.

To be honest, I have the ESPN direct to consumer app bundle with Hulu and Disney+, and I have not missed any games. $29.99/month is awesome. I have an antenna for local stations.

Does this mean the illegal streams can return?

Disney regularly blacks out normal cable providers when their contracts come up for renewal too.

Every provider that carries Disney owned channels faces these blackouts, its just how Disney negotiates.

You’re part of the problem. Disney wanted to raise your prices. YouTube was trying to fight to keep the costs down. Everyone blaming the carrier instead of Disney is the problem…have to boycott Disney when this happens or they will keep jacking prices.

I switched from YTTV to Fubo and pay $30/mo less. I only watched sports on YTTV and then I also had to pay $15/mo for ESPN+ during baseball season. Now I get that with my Fubo package.

YTTV has a superior UX but it ain't worth $45 more per month if you only watch sports.

I was paying around $82/month for YouTube TV…the only reason why I had it was to watch Kentucky for Football and Basketball on ESPN and SEC Network. Now, I am paying $29/month. Seems like a win for me.

This is all I ever use. I have YouTube Premium because I watch it a lot and the $15/month is worth it to avoid ads, but I don't have actual YouTube TV. I noticed that before the dust-up between YT and Disney that I could always get a bootleg feed, usually with Vietnamese name on the channel, but even those dried up.

Get ready for that to be back to $82/month with a lot less channels in about 5 years.

Same. I only went to YTTV to cut Xfinity. Then I find out I can watch all the football games I care about with FUBO which is cheaper, and I never would have found out about it unless this snafu happened.

And as soon as the last CFB game is played for the season, it gets cut off.

Magnificent.
