If you’re a fan of CBB, this is some top level ball being played and I’m loving it. Two contenders going blow for blow, as an LSU fan I’m jealous, but loving the way these guys compete

Feels like every single Purdue player is at least seven and a half feet tall, except for that Smith kid.

Ya the size of Purdue is definitley an advantage, and they are good at getting the mismatch near the rim. Plus they shoot the ball at a high level. But the scrappy bama defense and high shooting volume of bama is also elite, these two teams may see each other again come March. Fun to watch

It's an excellent clash of styles.

As a bama opponent in the SEC, they are by far the scariest team to play. They can jump on ya so quick, earlier in the game they got 3 long range shots in about a minute, so in a blink of the eye they were up 2 again on Purdue.

Just feels like Purdue has far more margin for error in this game. They can go inside anytime they want because of their size, their guards are excellent at hitting open 3's, and they are dominating the boards so they're getting extra possessions at a high clip. If our shooting cools off at all we don't seem to have much of a backup plan.

Bama got decimated inside, outboarded by 25, you won't win many like that. But Nate Oats is playing this schedule to get his team ready for conference and he'll win a few of them.

He should be happy. Generally Nate gives up 100+ to teams like that.

You think the East Alabama Buzzards could do any better against Purdue?

They’ve got their time to shine against Houston. If they lose, we’ll be here.

We'll find out since we play them. We also beat the brakes off of them last year after they clubbed Alabama.

alabama lost their big men to the portal. They didn’t pay enough to keep them around.

We'll see in a couple weeks. The game is in Indianapolis.

You have to have a dude who can guard Smith on his own. Auburn had that last year in Denver Jones, and Smith had one of the worst games of his career as Auburn steamrolled Purdue.

This AU team doesn't have the defense or size to match up well with Purdue this season. I don't expect them to win.

Even after getting killed by offensive rebounds, I thought they were going to pull it out...then the last 90 seconds got ugly once Philon missed the front end free throw.

It's true. This Auburn roster (even before Bruce retired) is not our best. Gonna take some lumps this year. Still gotta make fun of Nate Oats.
