care about a lower negotiated amount ?

They need to know how many children’s hospitals and tax payers they need to steal money from to make it happen

i have no idea what is going on with the whole ordeal...but logic tells me that anyone paying the buyout would try to negotiate the amount down if it's a lump sum buyout

If only this was true.. ERRRbody is laughing and watching this shite show... Just when we start losing interest, it sucks us back in!

Hmm. Could it be that paying 50 million or whatever to Kelly, and tens of millions more to the next staff is going to seriously impact the “NIL” to compete in the SEC?
That would suck.
That would suck.

I actually forgot about that
There were LSU fans telling us that one booster stepped up and wrote a check for the whole thing

This shitshow tells me that the big donor is waffling on the buyout.

it tells me Kelly is butthurt for getting fired. I doubt the big donor, if there is one, doesn't want there to be negotiations for a smaller settlement than 54 mil. Also if the settlement is for a lump sum amount why in the hell would anyone pay 54 mil lump sum...that would be stupid.

Apparently Todd Graves wasn’t as eager to just give away $54 million dollars as LSU fans claimed.

I don't know. Why don't you ask Mars?
And, if that is how is contract is written...LSU owes it.
Pay the man his money.

There’s negotiations, then there’s what LSU is doing here. If the money is there, then the last thing you want is this to go to court and potentially watch this go from 54 to 80 million. You want this over with.

Oh is this why every topic on TD is about the same subject?
Y'all worried.
Y'all seriously should be.

With LSU trying to play the fire for cause angle, Kelly could sue for probably up to 50% more with the right attorneys (which he can now afford).

Absolutely but now the stakes have climbed a bit. Best thing to do now is just pay the buyout as stated in the agreement. Get off the "fire for cause" bs. That would be good for everyone involved, esp. LSU.
