So LSU is too poor to pay the buyout. What a shame.

They’ve got the money.
They can filter it through OLOL funds or something.

Chicken is not always tender. He can sometimes be harsh.

Probably said it at a party to impress his friends and everyone ran with it.

A bunch of boosters were drunk in their skyboxes after the A&M game. They were emotional (they are French after all) and mad. Everyone wanted to feel big when they had to commit to paying the buyout so nobody backed down.

Message board posters are a lot like Democrat-Socialists. They are very good at spending other people's money. These posters generally don't have any money of their own, nor do they have a grasp of how much money "they" (in this case "big money donors") actually have.
But these posters are confident that there is plenty of money to be spent on their Christmas list of wants.
Now LSU is balking at this buyout. This challenges the perception that there is plenty of "other people's money". Undeterred, the message board poster concludes that the individual, to which some small sum of the unlimited pile of money is owed, is a scoundrel who is not due his share...not because the unlimited pile of money is, in fact, limited, but because of honor. Who could dispense funds from the unlimited pile of money to a scoundrel?
It's a complex logic that one could only explain through a Saturday morning cartoon.

The kid and I were out running errands on Sat. We intentionally drove by Canes. Can't help LSU with the buyout...

Kelly is going to do to LSU what Fitzgerald did to Northwestern.

Kelly should just keep coming to work and acting like he's still the coach.
