The barn and UF are better jobs than LSU?

I don't concur with all of this.

Auburn, Florida look to be better jobs than LSU
If Lane Kiffin stays turns Florida down and stays at Ole Miss, the coaching carousel is going to be really interesting. Auburn, Florida and LSU will likely be fishing in the same pond.
Despite the insistence of some national pundits that LSU is the greatest of all jobs, I believe it is third on that list. The governor goes on a rant about contracts. He gets his choice hired as university president. The president names Verge Ausberry interim athletics director. Then Ausberrry is the permanent athletics director. And then he's the acting athletics director. And then he is the permanent athletics director again. All that in a 24-hour span,. In short, there is chaos in Cajun country.
Auburn's and Florida's situations are quite similar to each other. Hugh Freeze's record was a disappointment at Auburn. Same with Billy Napier at Florida. Neither program has much to sell in terms of recent success, but both have lots to sell in terms of history, tradition and resources.
As I wrote on Thursday, I hear Auburn is the job Tulane coach John Sumrall wants most. I've heard lots of chatter about Arizona State's Kenny Dillingham, but according to reports, he has told players he is staying put. Could that change? Of course it could.

Nooo.
LSU, particularly with the Governor farting around, isn't a wonderfully fantastic job right now. But get a new AD and slap the Governor with a ruler and it is top 5 job in the country. The fans are there, the talent is there, you just need to get an administration that is there.

Prospective coaches don't walk into combat zones.

Your job is what you make it. Put the right person in any job and it magically becomes a great job.

The make the playoffs or your fired jobs aren’t that attractive to big time coaches.

This whole "better job" thing is extremely up to individual discretion. All SEC jobs are going to pay what everyone else can. Some coach may put Arkansas on the top for proximity to family or something similar. Maybe they like a slower paced and quieter environment. Someone may prefer Auburn's passionate fanbase. Someone may prefer Florida's location. Someone may prefer LSU's craziness and NIL commitment.
I just find it funny that all of y'all constantly argue which job is the best and the answer is: all of them.

LSU, good players, fun environment but the drama and shitty physical environment is killing it.
Only someone from that state might love going there. Which was why Coach O was a natural for LSU.
Unfortunately O also was your typical shrimp boat captain and once he got the loot, he went into the toilet like all those fricks do.
LSU can't get out of its own way
ETA: my comment here should be its own thread really.
LSU has historically been a C program in the SEC but was elevated to B by Saban.
Les was able keep it on life support.
Coach O lucked into one (hey good on him
) but now it's gone back to C level because of NIL/TP -- not ALL Kelly's fault.
They really should see if they can bring Kelly back but that'll never happen of course.

Certainly a good argument for Florida but not seeing it at all with Auburn.
When in the last 30 years has Auburn landed a top coach?
Florida went out and got Urban Meyer.
What was Auburn's last big splash hire? Tuberville?
It wasn't that long ago one of their fans was screaming "Loser!!!" at their new head coach fresh off a 5-19 tenure at Iowa State. They tried to get Petrino and totally fricked that up.
It didn't work out for LSU with Brian Kelly but Woodward was never afraid to swing for the fences.
Speaking of Woody, I think Auburn should take a long hard look at Jimbo Fisher. He's only 60 and I think he's more than ready to get back in the arena. Odds are he won't be any worse than Harsin or Freeze. Jimbo is probably as big a splash as y'all can get right now.

auburn is a cult and no one wants to be part of that crazy place where coaching careers die

Yes Auburn is known as being reasonable and great place to coach. It also historically has more titles than LSU.

The person that has to open those cologard boxes that people take a dump in and send to be screened for colon cancer has a better job than LSU. One has to deal with $#!+ all day, but one is $#!+.

LSU is a shite show of epic proportions right now. Not usually the way it works, but an argument could be made that is the case at present.

The gov's dumbass has gone radio silent. He knows he fricked up and his advisor's have told him to butt out.

The thing is Landry has now somewhat tied himself politically to the success of the next coach. And he’s up for reelection at the business end of the next coaches 2nd season.

Ok Auburn, I usually lay off of y’all but are you serious. The crime in BR is why it’s not a better job? What has Auburn done since 2013? Why haven’t they landed a better coach? What top target has went there since Tubby?

AU and UF have just as big an idiot as the governor meddling in things they dont belong in. thats why they are both coachless agiain. the only difference is they dont hold public office.
