It is very odd that 2/3 of the SEC members of Committee are Arkansas affiliated. Does Stankey select those people? Anybody know?

It would be awesome if there was a source online where you could find your answer.

Reading comprehension is a thing. The website identifies how the chairman is selected but not how the committee members are selected.

And it damn sure doesn't answer my question of why 2/3 of the SEC affiliated members are Arkansas people which is asinine.

Not sure which group you are referring to.

There is one person with Arkansas connections on the committee.

Hunter Yurachek - Arkansas AD.

So they’ve made it to Arkansas?! It can’t be……..unless the prophecy is true. I’ll alert the local parish.

Wasn't he on there in 2023 as well?

Personally, I wouldn't want my AD spending time on this, especially if I was looking for a head coach.

Maybe yall don't get the news in Oklahome. Jeff Long is on the committee and he was the Arkansas AD from 2008 to 2017. He is the guy who fired Petrino for the motorcycle incident.

So yes 2/3 of those with any SEC affiliations have an Arky connection.

So you think a former AD we fired is somehow against teams Arkansas plays?

You are the same idiot that said Hunter hired Chad Morris

No. I am saying it appears there isn't shite for representation to look after the interests of SEC teams.

Why is Jeff Long on the committee again? And why does Arkansas have their second AD on the committee when A.) They have never even sniffed the playoffs and B.) Not every SEC school has had their AD serve yet?

A lot of conference Presidents etc...but wait.....huh...imagine that? A person not representing a conference, but one specific independent school. A one school "conference" member should under no circumstances be on this committee....

I would gladly offer the services of both the La governor and acting LSU AD to be put on said committee. As long as it requires all their attention and 80 hour work weeks far away from BR thru the end of the season. And thru the Spring/during the contract negotiation process of our next coach. Please.

The playoff selection committee members are nominated by conference commissioners. From those nominations, the members are picked by the CFB management committee, which you can see here.

Also, there’s this thing called Google that’s really good at answering these questions.

They don't have a dog in the hunt so they are likely to be less biased.
