Auburn and Notre Dame have finalized plans for a home-and-home football series that will mark the first-ever meeting between the two storied programs, sources confirm to AuburnSports.

The series begins in 2027 at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, with the return game set for 2028 at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The agreement brings together two of college football’s most tradition-rich names, adding a marquee non-conference matchup to both teams’ future schedules.

If that 2028 game is anywhere other than in Auburn, heads have to roll.

It's not. Supposedly we made next year's move to Atlanta with the Notre Dame series in mind to make it work

Notre Dame has been scared to schedule Auburn for years. I guess it took the worst period in Auburn history to finally make it happen.

I wonder if Deuce Knight will be the starting QB in that matchup

Well that sucks. I would have loved to have seen Notre Dame at Jordan Hare in person.

Notre Dame will be coming to Jordan Hare.

Moving Baylor to Atlanta somehow accomodated that.

Ok. I read it to mean that moving the game to a neutral site is what sealed the deal with Notre Dame. Thanks for the clarification.

My mind immediately went there when I read the story about few minutes ago.

Maybe im missing something, or I am just dumb, but how would moving next year's Baylor game to a neutral site affect a different OOC game two years later in terms of where either game is gonna be played?

If we move a game with Baylor to Atlanta, it frees things up for a home game with Notre Dame later.

Just breaking it down. Baylor starts with a B so Atlanta is before Auburn alphabetically so that makes it more conducive to playing Notre Dame in Auburn 2 years later. So basically structure, order, and time really worked this out when you think about it. It’s very straightforward. Baylor in the Benz. Notre Dame at home.

I understand where the AD was going with this. It’s all about leveraging our core competencies to attain next level synergies.

I dont get it either unless there is a rule about rotating OOC games.

Or

securing the 4 million gives us the funds to travel to Notre Damw

Should we break out our Green Jerseys again for this game?
