Lane is the only character that we have in the conference right now

Of all the coaches we have had over the years with personality and swagger, right now he is the only one.
I put him on Spurrier level of interest.
All the rest seem vanilla. Or maybe I am missing one (maybe Beamer? Can’t think of any others).

Yeah, a comedian is exactly what these teams need.

Tubs had swag at Ole Miss also.
Tubs carried it to AU.
Freeze didn’t.
Both had something that gave Alabama fits.

You are vastly overestimating Bama’s regard of Freeze. Tubs, yes. No one ever cared about Freeze, even after those two wins. He was just a weird anomaly: no more, no less.

What others have we truly had outside of Spurrier that would actually trash talk?
Miles was quirky, Ed had the Cajun stuff going on, Leach was unique but I really think you're misremembering. I don't recall having a whole lot of characters all at once.
