I expect Alabama to be ranked ahead of A&M in the first CFP rankings.

Alabama has played a much harder schedule, beating four ranked teams in a row prior to South Carolina.

I also think Alabama would take them with relative ease in a neutral site game.

I’ll give A&M the nod over UGA right now but I’m certainly not confident about it. A&M only has like 3 wins against teams with winning records.

Bama got their arse whipped by a 4-4 Florida State team.

If the committee uses metrics like they said they would this year, no way gumps are ahead of aggies. I wouldn’t be surprised to see A&M or Indiana ahead of OSU who are #1 and #2 in SOR

Vandy, Tennessee, Missouri are “ranked” for now but not for long. Missouri will be unranked after playing A&M, Tennessee will be barely in the rankings, and I think auburn beats vandy knocking them out this week

Bama’s resume is going to rely heavily on UGA finishing strong

Not saying I agree, but they may be #1 over OSU and Indiana based on their strength of record over theirs.

Strength of record metric has Alabama at #5 currently and A&M #1

It doesn't matter, We still have three games on the schedule that we could lose as do most teams.

Lots of football to be played yet.

Alabama's wins besides Georgia:

Vandy
Mizzou
Tennessee
South Carolina

The latter 3 have proven to be extremely overrated
'
Let's see what happens when an improving Oklahoma comes to town. OU sacked Milroe into dust last year

Exactly

Missouri, Tennessee, USC, and LSU are all not as good as expected (I guess Missouri is about expected?)

Gumps schedule is not that much harder than A&M. Top wins would be UGA and OU if they win, vs Notre Dame and Texas for A&M

Bama has a bit of an edge in the meat but I don’t think beating Vols (probably #20) will fully cover the stench of FSU

A&M will be ranked ahead because they have no losses . But they have no business being where they are . Luckily they will lose against Mizz and Texas and it will sort itself out . Ohio State and Oregon's schedule is also a disgrace . Unfortunately the rest of their schedule is breeze so they will stay where they are

Do you have any insider stock tips while we are speculating?

You seem to know something.

Who has Vandy beat again? Mizzou w/a backup qb?

Tennessee is giving up 31+ points a game to FBS schools and has 3 losses. They are ranked purely off brand name at this point.

Most people are predicting

1. OSU
2. A&M
3. Indiana
4. Alabama

Which is totally reasonable.

I'd put Alabama ahead of Indiana too, but whatever. I think all 4 of those teams are headed to the playoffs.

I think Aggies smoke bama in the seccg.

LSU was the first game this season we even sort of utilized Marcels full running ability. We’ll use him more as we get closer to the end of the season / bigger games. Not to mention moss will be back.

I think bama is one of the best teams in the country but this A&M team is different. Players are fully bought in
