Not that many to go around. The good ones will be asking for top dollar.

LSU might have to get that Ole Miss coach. Pete Golding

The big names like Kirby, Day, DeBoer, Lanning, Cignetti, etc, are all locked up. Kiffin I don't think will be leaving either. Who the hell do you get? This is going to interesting to watch. It's a terrible spot to be in right now if you're looking.

I disagree. There are always good coaches out there. There are coaches that finished their careers at some FCS or D2 school that would have won a national championship at Bama, LSU, Ohio St etc.

Depends: do you want to hire a good coach, or do you want to win the Big Splash Press Conference contest?

I appreciate the concern.

Plenty, id interview a bunch of them. Fritz, Sumrall, Traylor, Satterfield, Silverfield, Golesh, Chadwell....and my sleeper home run hire Jedd Fisch
There are good coordinators id look at. Dirkin, Schumman, Hartline, Monken(NFL), Brady

Negative. The big guys don't leave their teams in any year. Now some deserving up and coming guys will get a shot.

I see it as a good year .... especially for the SEC.
SC had better get on board and shitcan Beamer.
Next season will be a fresh start for half the league. NOW, given that we've finally reached critical mass, is the perfect time to go coach hunting for young dynamic new HC talent mixed in with available commodities coaches.
There will definitely be some bidding wars.
ADs are going to be tested.
The SEC really needs to shitcan Sankey.

This is true but the trick is identifying who they are. There are no sure things. Gene Stallings had a losing record in the NFL and college but went 70-16 at Bama. Hugh Freeze had as much success as anyone against Saban and looked like a fit at Auburn but was even worse than Harsin. Billy Napier looked like a solid hire for Florida but was a disaster. Hiring coaches is basically a crap shoot which is why these buyouts are ridiculous.

Fit for culture is very important I think. When interviewing coaches id wanna know:
1) Who will be on their staff. How will they handle turnover? How will they approach hiring new assistants?
2) Do they have a plan for modern NIL/portal CFB or are they just flying by seat of their pants
3) Can they recruit and develop HS recruits
4) Have they ever adapted their scheme and strategies when it was needed. Are they able to pivot or are they married to some scheme that they will ride or die with

A&M really needs to lock up Klein. Or they join the carousel in a really bad year

So Little Bro grants FSUs wish and hires Norvell away from them because he beat Alabama this year?… I mean, it’s their MO.

A school that needs a coach stop looking for a good HC. Schools should look for great O/D coordinators, that is where it is at., imo

Sumrall is going to leverage a couple of good years at Troy into a $30 million buyout clause. His wife is already hitting her Amazon wishlist hard.

Didn't Curry and Perkins suck at their other stops too?

Fisch is going to kill it in the right situation. Definitely at the top of any list of an AD with any common sense.
