For the next year?

Does your answer change if you have to keep the coach for 5 years?

Pros and Cons with either, but I think the body of work has already prosecuted Venables as a bust at HC and is a high ceiling DC. Sark has shown he can manage a team to success in the new college hellscape of NIL and TP.

I'll take Sark and it not being as close as I thought it would be upon first posing the question, after thinking it through.

Both should be coordinators.

I would take Venables because we can buy the players.

We just need a coach not to confuse shite.

This. Both are born coordinators.

Texas doesn't need an OC, we need an HC.

Circle back at the end of the season on this one. Sark has the easiest schedule in the SEC. Venables has the hardest schedule in the SEC Let’s see how each fares down the stretch but Sark’stretch looks like an easy path However it took the refs to get Sark past miss st

WTF are you smoking? Texas has 3 top 9 teams left on its schedule. Easiest path left you are clearly not even paying attention

OU finishes with at Tennessee, at Bama, Missouri, and LSU lets circle back. Venables currently has the #1 recruiting class for 2027 though.

I would say Venables and here is the only reason. Sark is supposed to be an offensive mastermind and we are terrible at offense. If it wasn’t for Nibblet and the special teams things would look vastly different.
Venebals is a defensive coach and the defense is alright. He can always hire an offensive guy that can work out.

Venables is a very good defensive coach, but Sark is an offensive genius imo.

That doesn't mean he's a great head coach by any stretch, but I'll take the genius every time.
