The programs that want to hire him so what would be the point in leaving OM. If OM gets the money right he needs to stay and just poach players from LSU and Florida. Bring the players to him instead of changing his entire life around.

He's been there 6 years. LSU and Florida have been meh that entire time and still have more talent.

This is the smart, easy decision for Lane.
Staying these next 2 or 3 years at least is a no brainer.
He becomes highest paid coach. He gets to demand a big boost to NIL again. The portal is going to be slap full of UF/LSU portal guys as well as other team's players.
Leave your family situation in place and go all in again for a natty.
He'd be a fool to leave this year.
UF and LSU or Miami or Texas or FSU....will be open again in 3 years anyway.

Ole Miss has committed to football. Headed into November they are the most likely SEC team in the playoff. A 1-win South Carolina and two 0 win SEC teams left on their schedule while everyone else has a tougher finish.
Its a new day. I think Kiffin will stay. Its just as easy in the new era to make the playoff at Ole Miss as it is LSU and Florida - might be easier.

Kiff can retire there a very wealthy king.
He could improve his recruiting by making the admin ditch the plantation iconography. He has the stroke now.

While I personally agree and think he'd live like a king just staying at OM forever, you're kidding yourself if you can't see why someone would want to go from ole miss to Florida or LSU

Kiffin is a great talent evaluator so he's getting a better return on the guys he recruits than LSU and Florida. Furthermore, half of a high school class will wash out so you have the portal to supplement and Kiffin is better in the portal than LSU and Florida have been.
