11/11/22: “It’s too bad Notre Dame isn’t better”

Since that post:
Notre Dame:
Total W/L: 32 - 8
NY6/CFP Wins: 3
LSU:
Total W/L: 27 - 12
NY6/CFP Appearances: 0
LSU signed Brian Kelly to a $100 million contract even though he had never won a BCS, NY6 or CFP game in his 20 year coaching career.
LSU will have to pay him $53 million even though he never even appeared in a NY6 or CFP game at LSU.

Meh to be fair at that point we were ranked 7th, leading the West, and had just beaten Bama. ND had just entered the top 25 after a 7 week absence.
That was the pinnacle.

you should listen to that little pillow biter moscana. there has been no buyout resolution, you've been given bad info.
lsu has no leverage and will be paying it in full.

I looked at the 247 team rankings and ND currently has the #4 class with 27 commits. Of those 27 commits, 22 are bluechip and 3 are 5-star recruits. Their average recruit ranking and team score is right up there with us and Georgia. Looking at the rankings from when Kelly was there, he never had a class close to this class that Freeman has while at ND.
I still don't think Freeman is a great in-game coach, but there's no doubt that he has brought in better talent via HS recruiting and the portal than Kelly did.

Seems pretty close, considering one was .500 and in the SEC and one was a playoff team that plays weak schedules.
