I don’t think so.
Better Jobs in no particular order:
UGA
Bama
Texas
Florida
Notre Dame
Ohio St.
USCw
Oregon (in the NIL era)
That’s pretty much it. All other jobs are inferior.

Ole Miss isn't better, but they're looking lateral at worst

Maybe top 50
Don't worry about it

Yeah probably, 5-7 area at worst.

Not anymore . And it could sink further if this hire is screwed up.

I would say top 3 of teams looking for a head coach right now.

In the right hands it should be.

LSU is a crappy job because you only get a couple of years before the fans turn on you and start screaming for your head. While fans at all big time programs are sorta like that, LSU fans might be the quickest to turn on a coach, with the possible exception of Bama fans. Also, Baton Rouge is a crappy town and the people at LSU are just ill tempered and trashy.

Yes, is this a serious question?

It is for the same reason UGA is. In state talent and proximity to talent. The one thing that LSU has over almost everyone is that they’re the only P4 school in their state so they don’t have to try that hard on in state talent. It’s not the top job because of resources, but it’s a top 5 job.

I would probably add Michigan and OKlahoma to the list.

Yeah but unlike A&M, they win nattys at LSU.

I think it is for coaches but to be honest I would not advise my student athlete son to attend LSU due to security concerns.
But most things considered:
1. Support - administration and fans
2. Recruiting potential
3. Championship potential
4. Environment
I would rate them something like this:
1. Bama
2. UGA
3. Ohio St.
4. Texas
5. Notre Dame
6. A&M
7. Florida
8. Oregon
9. LSU
10. Michigan

So then why are you starting a thread asking if LSU is a premier job then?
