He will troll Ole Miss for a raise. Their stupid, thirsty asses will give him a ridiculous amount.

He will stay there where 9-10 wins keeps him in solid, and he is a God there.

Ole Miss will brag about how no one is going to steal their never won a championship, championship coach.

Too ‘On the nose’…

Kiffin would be a bit more coy. He would poke fun at Florida while still teasing the fact that they are interested.

He would go with something like this…

This is literally what will happen. Lane will end up making $14M/yr and go 9-3/10-2 and ole Miss fans will be beating their chests.

He would be a fool to leave for a high pressure job.

So we are in the playoffs most years.

Yeah…I’m good with it.

Barring a huge upset, Kiffin will be in the playoffs. While it is normal for a coach who takes his new job to leave before a bowl game, I tend to think it would be hard to leave a team that is in the playoffs. So, if Kifffin isn’t willing to do that, anyone who wants to hire him may have to wait until Christmas or the new year, all while their recruits and existing roster are being poached by everyone else.

yep...and lane is working on his 4th 10 win season in past 5 years..and LSU has 1 in the past 20. I'd say he's doing pretty good

So if you saying....would I as an ole miss fan rather have Kiffen and 10 win season or the promise of 1 10 win season and win the champion that one season then go back to 7-5...I'lll take what we got with Kiffen.

That LSU championship is a fluke, an anomaly....all the stars line up for that magical season with Joe Burrow. Then back to nobodies. When you dont back it up year and year like Bama and Georgia it's luck.

Fluke or not, National Championship is still National Championship. 2019 LSU was an epic team, you can’t argue that.

Ole Miss winning a championship would be an anomaly, LSU’s third in 20 years not so much

If I was LSU or Florida, and Lane was willing to walk away during the playoffs, that would be an immediate non-starter for me and I'd look elsewhere. Not sure there would be a larger red flag.

Meyer could have stayed at Utah. Saban could have stayed at Michigan State. At a certain point you realize these guys have the biggest egos out there, tons of money, and the easy road is not what they seek.

Neither team would ask for that. They'd get an agreement, maybe even get him to sign it, and let the season play out.

There'd be enough rumors circulating in the program that the team wouldn't all bail. It would be ready to execute and announce the minute Ole Miss' season ended.

Issue with that - if your coach in waiting makes the semi-finals (or better) you don't get a transfer portal.
