When all is said and done, 1/3 of the league will be looking for new coaches.

LSU
Arky
Florida
Kentucky
SCe (when Beamer leaves for VT)
Miss State

The challenge is there are not enough quality hires to go around. Someone will land James Franklin.

You're just going to have to bite the bullet and keep Hugh.

Auburn is a better job than all except for maybe LSU.

LSU and florida are about on the same level as Auburn and you don't even have to win to make millions sitting on a beach doing nothing.

Sure but the coaching market is watered down with "has beens" and unproven coordinators.

Who raises the bar at Barn?

If Sark leaves for the NFL, we could have 7 teams searching.

You can strike that name. Our admin isn’t going to fire Lebby. Not this year. Not with the other openings.

He’s possibly gonna end up on a 4 game win streak headed into the Iron Bowl too. Now or never, IMO.

I would argue Florida is a better job.

Which fan base is going to be pumped getting the guy that was just fired for literally not winning the big games? lol

Texas would jump even LSU on the rankings.

Problem at that point is there just aren’t enough elite caliber coaches to backfill.

Absent a couple schools hitting on rising coaches from lower levels we could really see a decline in team quality across the conference as the new coaches and systems take time to get established at an effective level.

I mean Kelly was a top 7-10 coach when he made the jump to LSU.

The list of elite coaches has never been shorter than it is right now in CFB with Saban retired and Dabo post peak.

Kirby
Lanning
DeBoer
Day (people like to pretend he didn’t almost get fired last year…)

Then you have the almost elite tier
Lane
Elko
Freeman
Cristobal

I think Freeze will return if he goes 7-5 or better. That means he has to beat Kentucky, Mercer, and one more…. Which leaves Vandy and Bama.

Doable actually.

Sark to NFL and Drink to Pedo State would officially be the perfect timeline. All 3 of our permanent rivals rebuilding and getting attacked by the portal

If all the good coaches are taken this year why would there be any more to choose from next year? That’s a terrible reason to keep a failing coach

No they are not.. LSU has recent national championships and has been a consistent top program with different coaches until BK and not the greatest coaches either..it took generational coaching from Spurrier and Meyer to win a national championship at Florida outside those years Florida is pretty meh, LSU has no competition for in state talent which is as good or better than Florida. I do not know how LSu pays BK and staff off and tries to hire? Kiffen?

Yup.

I'd drink leaves Missouri, and Sark goes to NFL, half the damn conference is in rebuild mode.
