I’d have to agree and frankly I’d rather root for an SEC team to win a natty over a Big10 team.

I don't think anyone disagrees with that.

I still think at the end of the season Georgia will be the best SEC team based on their more balanced team.

I believe it will be between them and A&M

Well that isn't true.

You can make an argument if you want but there is no way it is unanimous. If it was you would see them having all the #! votes in all the polls

Why do people keep trying to splice and dice this? A&M has zero control over their schedule, and has won each game they’ve been told to play … more and more so convincingly as the season progresses.

Texas A&M:
-Road win against current #12 Notre Dame
-Road win against current #20 LSU
-5 SEC Conference Wins

Ohio State:
-Home win against current #22 Texas
-Road win against current #23 Illinois
-4 Big Ten Conference Wins

You just need to remember that if any of these teams were to have beaten A&M then they wouldn’t be considered terrible.

It pains me to agree with this. But after yesterday I think it’s clear. Now I have to go throw up.

Not entirely true.

But what does big time matter is initial preseason ranking, which bestows an automatic advantage in subsequent weeks/months by influencing future rankings (e.g., creating a perception of team strength, subliminally pressuring voters to give higher-ranked teams the benefit of the doubt).

Bama also has a really bad loss. A&M is undefeated and while they may not be currently ranked teams there are a lot of dangerous teams in there as well. No one could have said prior to the season that A&M's schedule wasn't one of the most difficult in the country, it's not our fault some of those teams have decided to suck.

The Bama poster said there was no one arguing A&M was the best team in the country. The pollsters and coaches disagree so even if it was JUST them, it still isn't unanimous.

I'm thoroughly impressed with A&M but they are clearly not "no doubt" the best team in the country and even A&M fans wouldn't say that with a straight face.

Will they fill the Mercedes Benz or will it be sort of a road game for them?
