Play calling aside, too many guys aren't getting the job done.

Burks has questionable football instincts. The blown coverages are obvious. It's the plays when he isn't beat that are really starting to show up on tape. If he was reading the QB properly he could have had a couple INTs on tipped balls yesterday when the defense was in zone. Running into another defender in run support because you lose leverage on the ball carrier? Banner should be starting the rest of the way.

Norfleet is a nothing burger vs SEC talent and is always hurt. Give me more Jude James.

Johnson is too weak at the catch to be taking reps from Olugbode. His whining after every play is tiresome.

Tollison and Peagler are the weak link upfront and DCs are going to crush them the rest of the way on passing downs.

Burks misplayed their 80 yard TD. Love his big hits, but love wins much more.

That's the play I was referring to. He ran up Pride's arse and blocked himself.

I don't blame Burks at all. He shouldn't be playing strong safety. He should have been made a LB or at the very least he should be the 3rd safety supporting the run (forgot what we call that position).

He likes to hit, let him hit people.

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt early on as it’s not easy losing a parent that young and in season too.
But his body language is shite and he was throwing a bitch fit on Zollers for one pass last night he wasn’t even open for.

#1 needs starting reps.

Agreed on Norfleet. Plays soft for his size.

norfleet is toast. The backup TE proved he was better in every facet vs vandy.

Spot on, Navy.

Yesterday's loss came down to 3 things:

- we've been starting the wrong QB all season

- Burks is terrible. That play should have gone for 15-20 and more than likely we stop them again around our 35-40

- how do we go 1st and goal and not give one carry to Roberts ...

Its gotten ignorant at this point. They should have both backs in when they are inside the 5.

I will stand up for Johnson a bit - only because there have too many plays on tape where he was wide open for a first down or possible big play and Pribula instead threw into double or triple coverage.

That has happened every game. It would get old fast, especially when your team is losing games by a score or less.

I think we are lucky Coleman is not acting the same way.

I was on Johnsons side for the Bama game. Pribula was terrible in the 4th quarter. But the Vandy game was childish behavior. Freshman QB, he wasn't open, and the OL hadn't held up. If he wants to be mad at someone, go up in the booth and ask Moore why the fastest player isnt working the middle of the field when 1st downs stop the clock.

The dumbest decision they made was stopping the use of MJ as the coverage buster intermediate and deep down the field. Tried turning him into LB3 which he isn’t.

#1 needs to run Johnson’s routes and Johnson needs to go back to getting deep. Zollers has the arm to make that an actual threat.

I disagree. Zollers pocket presence showed the protection was sound overall. He completed several throws where Beau was dropping his eyes and moving into the rush or bailing all together.

I meant on the specific play where Johnson threw his tantrum on the sideline.

Johnson needs to go after the rock and grow up. If he wasnt getting out muscled on 50/50 balls, he'd get more targets. He rarely fights back for balls. He jumps in the air and hopes for contact to be called PI.

I get being frustrated with Pribula I. The 4th quarter vs Bama. He was wide open and Pribula sailed an easy pass over his head.

But he threw a hissy fit on Zollers on a sideline pass where he wasn't close to being open. That one I can't get behind.

BTW Navy, have you seen Jett Thrombella in person at Millard South this year?

Yes. His ball placement leaves a lot to be desired and he's not great in between the hashes. He has multiple DI guys that can go after the ball. They are crushing overmatched teams every week. Hes a good all around athlete but I think he will struggle with game speed in the SEC.

So not worth a Mizzou push to flip?

He's not flipping. They tried to get him when Isaac committed. He has shut his recruiting completely down and is focused on this playoff run.

I will say this, he would definitely be a take. All the tools are there and he is extremely confident in his game. He is making all the quick throws and the skill guys are murdering teams. I just question his accuracy when he needs to dial it up and fit throws into SEC secondaries. The staff at Alabama clearly thinks he is a fit but its a long way from beating the Benson Bunnies to winning in the SEC.

He's not that type of receiver and never will be. He's being put in bad routes, he's always been a speed guy that you throw in space, mostly from the slot.

Just wanted to add a special shout to all the freshman who stepped it up. I was impressed with all of them.
