Our offense has been sluggish at least one half every game since Georgia. The defense has Bama 7-1

I guess you could call that complimentary football.

Defense has issues, but has come up big when it mattered.

The defense is pretty solid outside of 2-4 plays a game. It's just that on those plays the other team gains like 150 yards and scores at least 1 TD.

They were very good today. Offense kept putting them back out there and they made the clutch plays to win it

This team can be really frickin good but just not have had all three units clicking at the same time. Offense didn’t do shite for most of today. Defense stepped up in key moments but was very frustrating to watch at times.

When they're good they are good, when they are bad the other team scores a TD in 4 plays.

So how in the world does Grubb and DeBoer fix it because the defense can’t keep doing this. Like it or not this is the kind of offense that lady does not struggle against. They can’t stop running QBs but they fair much better against pro style QBs and offenses. Unlike Saban teams they f the past when Bama had a great running game to shrink the game and take it over in the fourth, this Bama team does not have that ability.

It was a failure in all phases on the offense. Ty missed wide open guys. WR's dropped some catchable balls (and got 0 DPI calls all day.) And the OLine got their lunch eaten all day.

That being said, they all stepped up on that game-tying drive and the ensuing possession after the fumble. Team victory, and so glad we didn't have to rely on Talty to win it for us.

They still give up more green grass than a midget ball soccer team. Just doesn’t look right.

They give up a ton of yards and can't stop the run. But they do force teams to field goals.

Ty executing in big moments has been the difference between winning and losing.

The offense is consistent though. Just good enough to score between 25-30, points Max

Realistically we could have put away :

Missouri
Tennessee
Vandy (sooner than we did)

Just can’t quite turn it on.

Same today. Got the ball in the 3rd, up 14-3 and shite the bed.

Grubb seems to go ultraconservative on the playcalling with a 2 score lead.

The offense has no killer instinct. At all. We've come out at the beginning of the second half with the opportunity to step on the opponents' neck several games now and immediately piss on our own shoes.

I've just accepted that 3 or 4 times a game, some linebacker is going to run to a gap that's already filled and leave another wide open or a DB is going to sit there and watch someone run right by with no help on the back side.

Overall though, today they were in terrible positions all day long and still held USCe to 22 points while scoring 7 themselves and forcing the game winning turnover.

In the end, the result is all that matters.

We are allergic to bending a team over and putting the belt to arse. We have to let them back into games. I know the other guys have scholarships but a lot of the reasons why these swings happen right in the moment we can seize control are on us as much as the opponent.

I agree.

I will say this 5 bourbons in, by the time we get to the end of SEC play we will be a battle hardened group. All the adversity this team has already played through makes them lethal.

I think the lack of a running game doesn’t allow this team to put teams away. We ever get that settled and we can be a complete team.
