Nothing is going to be signed either way until after the season ends, so we may as well just park the conversation for a while and enjoy the season that we are only half-way through. Nothing, no rumors, no hidden secret messages, no "inside sources," no "my brother who is Striklin's janitor found something," matters until the pen meets paper.

In the meantime, go to hell Sooners.

He gone. Cignetti signed extension as soon as Penn St. opened up.

If he does leave then what is the Ole Miss fans relationship with him? Do yall wish him best, hate him, or just resent him

Yeah, no harm done signing an extension during the season. In fact, it’s a positive.

If you’re planning on leaving, on the other hand … it can wait. Forever.

Cignetti is the exception. Most of the other coaches are acting exactly like Lane. The fact is that they are mid-season and not all of the jobs are open yet. I have a feeling that quite a few are wanting to see how LSU ends up.

Elko, Drinkwitz, Golesh, Brohm... acting the same as Lane.

We will be happy for what he accomplished at Ole Miss but will hope he loses every game where-ever he goes, unless it's the NFL, which is something that people aren't even talking about but should be.

I'm sure that Sexton has already dumped a few loads over this year's coaching carousel. He's going to make money on Elko and Kiffin. I don't know if he's Drink's agent but, if so, he's going to make some money there too.

Maybe. Smart universities have seen what A&M and FSU done. They’re not gonna set themselves up in $100 MM buyout clauses and get fked for a decade or more.

We are an asshair's width away from being undefeated with a win in Athens. If we can get past OU, we will likely end the year 11-1 and go to the playoffs. There is nothing defeated about me.

I’m sick of fricking Jimmy Sexton. I know that he’s just doing his job by getting the best deal for his clients, but he’s arguably the main person/entity to blame for all this firing/hiring carousel bull shite

I just looked this up. Drink and Elko both use an agent named Clint Dowdle. Yeah, he's going to make money this time too.

You would lose to OU in Norman with or without the Kiffin distraction. Because the distraction is there, you will drop an addition 3rd game.

Yeah, none of us fans like that guy, but he works for the coaches. They don't work for him. If they truly wanted the noise to stop, they can make it stop. But they don't want to because it leads to millions of $$$. It's a dog eat dog world, my man.

These coaches agents, especially if it's Jimmy Sexton, is going to use any leverage he can to finanically butt plunge the school in situations like this. There's no doubt in my mind that Kiffin's agent is advising him to purposely not sign the extension, create angst within the Ole Miss brass, and they could very well sweeten the deal. They're a bunch of damn vultures and is part of the reason college football has gotten to where it's gotten. Now they're doing it with the players too.
