Pete Golding and Sage Ryan were awful yesterday.

Bama & LSU fans, get in here.
Golding never made a single adjustment. We rushed 3 and dropped 8 from the start. Somehow still had open receivers everywhere. Stockton goes what, 25-31? Jesus. He gets paid way too much to EVER produce an effort like the one we just watched. I know we don’t have 5* players everywhere, but this seemed like coaching malpractice.
Also, Sage Ryan has been a net negative this year. Real shitty of y’all to send him our way, LSU.

Golding's defenses were absolutely infuriating to watch when he was at Bama. Truly empathize with the rebs having to deal with 3rd and Golding and all the other mind boggling decisions he makes during games.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you run the same defense he did at Alabama.
IIRC, he ran a 4-2-5 before coming to Alabama and he's running that at Ole Miss now. When he was at Alabama, he ran Saban's defense like everyone else.

How many delayed safety blitzes from 18 yards deep in the secondary? If lees than 10, the caveman has marginally improved as a DC.

He had one INT in his 4 year career at LSU. And it was thrown by a guy now playing tight end at LSU. Him being good at Ole Miss would have been surprising. Honestly don’t know why Lane wanted him.

I never was a huge Golding fan when he was at Bama. The 2020 Ole Miss game completely done him in with me though. If not for a once in a generation type offense then Bama would have not only lost the game but lost bad. The defense was atrocious in that game.
