Who is in worse shape as far as moving forward - UF, Auburn or LSU?

Moving forward and contending for a Championship?
Kelly at least has won some games and shown he could compete years ago but does he have a ceiling in the SEC? How long will he be at LSU?
Napier is definitely gone but can UF get the right coach to contend again?
Is Auburn stuck with Freeze next season?

Who is the right coach at Florida? I'm not convinced it's Lane. If he was going to win, why didn't he win at USC?

I think it’s between LSU and Auburn.
Florida will probably be doing something to improve and action is better than inaction.
I can’t tell who is worse off between LSU or Auburn.

Florida
Y’all’s problems are deeper than Auburn and LSU. Those two have consistent supportive fanbases with boosters who somewhat all move in the same direction. They also have more talent.
Florida for some reason is apathetic towards football and has been for over a decade now

Job ranking
Florida
LSU
Auburn
Given that hierarchy, I’d say you could probably flip a coin on LSU and Florida and be right.

Buyout ain't bad if they decide to cut bait.

Auburn. UF has florida and is an elite brand. LSU is in an ok spot. Auburn is losing relevance in the new NIL era

Weren't they on probation with roster limitations while he was there?

I think Lane matured a lot once he became Bama's OC.

Florida is STACKED with talent. They have a stout defense. They have an excellent RB in Baugh. They have two physical freaks in freshmen WRs and Lagway (who needs coaching but he is a talent).
Florida is loaded

Whenever LSU makes the decision it will be easier to recover. Overall, it’s Auburn because they have to compete year in and year out with Bama in-state.
This coaching search cycle seems like it’s going to be nuts. Shallow pockets may want to sit out and hope next years is not as competitive.

Our fanbase raised the buyout for Napier..you are not ever the smartest guy in the room are you?

Whomever has the least amount of Nil money will be the worse off. That would be Auburn.

I think it depends on which team has the biggest buyout.
Based on that, I’d say LSU.
The crazy thing is… if LSU had last years offense with this years defense, you’d be contending for an SEC and/ir National Championship.

This is a good question, especially considering next year with the 9 game SEC schedule.
I think you have to look at each teams 3 permanents and go from there, considering the way a roster can fall apart with a coaching change.
Taking the 2026 schedule and roster turnover into consideration, I'd probably rather be Auburn compared to the others. I think the boosters that actually foot the big bills know you can't just fire a coach, but also have the $ for a replacement and the roster.

to me that points to LSU being the answer to the OP's question since the other two are poised to make changes very soon

At least Auburn has a cheap buyout and can potentially reset with a young coach. It's obviously a lot easier to do in the NIL era.
LSU is just stuck with a goofball HC that's going to give them late-Les Miles era results at best. That contract and buyout is insane, and the AD that approved it should be fired before Kelly, probably.
