How does Kiffin generate so much hype?

This is actually not a troll and a serious question. Is it his offenses? Here are some stats:

-Only 2 top 10 finishes (2011, 2023)
-No conference championships
-No playoff appearances
-3-15 all time against top 10 teams (one of these includes Penn State)
-1-9 on the road against ranked teams in the playoff era
-11-24 overall against ranked opponents

He couldn’t even add another sweet, sweet Western Division champs banner when divisions were still a think.

I’m not even trolling, because I don’t think BK is much better. But, seriously. Was his stint at Florida Atlantic really that impressive?

Because he’s doing it at ole Miss. Everything you listed is genuinely impressive for Oxford.

It's Ole Miss... and he has shown he is good at producing offense.

He turned a cellar dweller into a 10+ win program that's always in contention for the CFBP but can't quite make it.

Kiffin is Ole Miss' best coach since all the players were white and every other player was named Dick or Buzz, and it's not even close.

I think he is a good coach, maybe even a close to great one, but doing this at Ole Miss in 2025 isnt anywhere close to as impressive as it wouldve been just 10 years ago and lets not pretend it is.

Like Kelly, his trophy case is mostly empty.

Unlike Kelly, he's 50 years old and seems to be getting progressively better.

Who knows, maybe 2/3 10+ seasons is all hell ever be, but for a lot of programs even that is enough.

They had 1 winning season in the five years before he was hired, I don't think he inherited an easy gig.

2021 - 10 wins, #11
2023 - 11 wins, #9
2024 - 10 wins, #11
2025 - 6-0, #4

If you finish 4 straight years in the Top 12 anywhere you are doing a great job.

If you do it outside of the 7-8 Top 10 mainstays you are doing an incredible job.

If you do it at a place with 1 Top 10 finish since 1970 then you are clearly doing wonders.

Ole Miss 1970-2019 (49 years)
- 1 Top 10 finish
- 3 Top 15 Finishes

Ole Miss 2020-2025* (6 years)
- 2 Top 10s
- 4 Top 15s

The game is different now, so it's easier to do it at a place like Ole Miss, but the consistency is very impressive.

I just said it isnt as impressive as it wouldve been 10 years ago, not that it isnt impressive to any degree at all what he has turned Ole Miss into.

I mean Indiana is one of the worst CFB programs of all time and they just became one of the best programs in the country in a 2 year span? Can it be maintained. Idk and I doubt it a lot, I am just trying to make a point about how its easier for teams with less than stellar history to be elevated in modern CFB

He’s an elite offensive coordinator, elite recruiter, elite troll. A good not elite head coach .
