If you had to pick one thing to point out as a can’t-miss aspect of 2025 Alabama, what would it be? It could be a certain player, position group, coach, or something else.

I assume most people would say Ty Simpson, even though he showed yesterday he can get rattled by consistent pressure and started overlooking the easy play for the big play.

What would you say?

Our OC is the strength. He sets Ty up very well. We always have a good starting gameplan and we make adjustments to continue to move the ball.

Not until he can get his offense to close out games when we have the chance to put teams away. We've had the opportunity to go up multiple scores on our opponents the last 3 games late and failed to do so letting them get back in the game and make it competitive until the final whistle.

I mean they basically gave up in the FSU game.

That game grew this team up and brought them together. Look ahead not back.

The passing game.

Simpson to Bernard, Williams, Horton, Cuevas, etc.

The Quarterback and WRs

I also think the secondary is pretty good in pass coverage

Clearly the passing game, and our defense isn't bad either

Bama's WR corps is the best in the country and it's not really close.

Ty has grown into his role as the team leader and keeps getting better.

Grubb can be a strength but he needs to be consistent and not try to out coach himself. He gets too cute at times. Do what our skill players can do and make the other team stop it.

Going into a top 15 road win:
FEI: 4
FEI O: 4
FEI D: 6
FEI O PPD: 6

We have roughly a top 5 efficiency offense and defense.

We have been 4YPC or better from our backs the last two weeks with Jam back.

We only allowed 4.3YPC to possibly the best RB in the country.

We clearly have room to continue to improve due to red zone efficiency.

There is a TON to be pleased with given where we started and our week to week improvements.

But what makes it all work is an elite OC paired with a 1st Rd NFL QB and an elite group of WRs. That’s the engine that drives everything else.

We literally had drives against Georgia, Vandy and Mizz to win us those games.

If not for his mastery we would have two more losses.

Think if Sheridan was still calling plays, making gameplan and making adjustments

Thanks for making my point for me. If the offense had done their job in the second half of those games we wouldn't have needed "game winning drives" at the last minute. They're missing opportunities to build comfortable leads in the 3rd and early 4th quarters and it's going to bite us when we play a team we have to go score for score with.

Tbf to Sheridan he was limited in what he could call because of his QBs limitations. If he had Ty as his QB he would have looked a lot better

Fg kicking inside of 40 yarders. Damn sure isn’t anything else special teams besides Cole Adam’s hands and they don’t get any better than his

The only team left on our schedule this applies to is UTk. LSU, South Carolina, OU, and the Barn are extremely unlikely to force us into shootouts unless our defense has another FSU game, but even worse.

Postseason would be a different story obviously, but that's putting the cart before the horse.

Resiliency but they should not have needed it. Alabama had so many opportunities to put that game out of reach in the fullest and second half and failed to do so. Same with Vanderbilt. They still haven’t put it together yet but if they can keep finding ways to win and get to the playoffs and put it all together then they should have a very deep run. I don’t know if they can beat Ohio State but I think if they get the opportunity and keep within striking distance I think they can.
