It was 100% a fumble, but the question is did he cross the line before it. I say yes

I understand why it was called a fumble on the field and I understand that no view we got was clear enough to overturn. IMO, I think he broke the plane before it got punched out though.

Just too close to overturn. Had to go with the call on the field.

Looked to me like the ball was already moving and he had lost control before the ball definitively crossed the goal line.

It was so bang bang that you just about have to stay with the call on the field.

I would agree if there was one. Ref’s didn’t do shite until the UGA guy was 50 yards down the field. They didn’t know wtf happened on the field

He scored. And that’s totally on the refs. That said, Auburn completely folded & gave up on what was working from that moment on. It was bizarre

It was a UGA scoop and score.

The millisecond the tip of the ball crossed the goal line, it’s a TD. I love auburn losing in this excruciatingly painful way, but that is a touchdown. 100%

But what about the decision to call it down on the 3 vs a TD return by Georgia? I really am legit excited about the media that will circulate this in the week to come. The analysis, the rules, etc. I was in a loud bar so we couldn’t hear any rationale on why it was marked dead at the 3 (or wherever) vs a TD.

Same. We watched it a million times and still have no idea. Whatever was called was never getting overturned.

This. It was a TD. Ball easily crossed the plane. The pylon replay was conclusive. Period.
