Who would have guessed, Heupel & Venebles are the SEC’s last hope

for a current SEC coach to end their career with a winning record against DeBoer. The following have virtually no hope:

Kirby - 0-2 and isn’t winning 3 straight against Bama
BK -
Beamer - 0-1 and while he could even the series this year, don’t see him winning 2 straight and maintaining
Clark Lea - 1-1…probably not going to keep Vandy rolling for much longer after Pavia leaves
Freeze - could even series this year, but will he even be at AU for much longer
Drink - could even series this weekend, but Miz is catching Bama in a perfect spot. Not going to get that every year
Napier - I guess if he keeps his job, he’d have a shot in the coming years
Sark - 0-2 don’t see him winning 3 in a row
Elko - guess he theoretically could if he wins the 1st meeting, but it’s A&M…we’ll have to see it with our own eyes first
Kiffin - guess he could grab the first one and then “finally leave Ole Miss”…he may have the most legit chance of anyone that hasn’t played DeBoer yet

Probably missing someone but likely not worth mentioning tbh. Heupel and Venebles can take a commanding 2-0 lead this year. May be the only coaches that have a legit shot.

Good thing Elko has already put his mark on the program and it’s already doing things Aggie teams of the past didn’t.

It was absolutely cringe when I heard him say it. I bet he chooses to believe he had the team prepared despite all the losses we’ve taken. Embarrassing

I read this earlier and it confirms what several of us were saying last year, he didn’t have the intensity, work ethic, or understanding of what it takes to win in the SEC. He was woefully unprepared in the 2 games he had a preparation disadvantage in last year, and I was really hoping he learned his lesson that it wouldn’t work at Bama due to being everyone’s Super Bowl. He didn’t learn the lesson. Mizzou and OK game could be absolutely miserable this year, and we may be a 4+ loss team. We’re in for a long few years.

Wait, what? You crucified me a couple days ago trying to say I said “our program sucks” and that I should stop watching. Are you bi-polar?

I’m still willing to see a 3rd season with a 3rd starting QB before being fully definitive, and I started saying DeBoer may not be the answer after last year’s SC game.

This was a surprising loss, but some of us saw the cracks in the coaching last year and it wasn’t just the QB.

Exactly, that’s why it’s so embarrassing that UT and OU coaches are the only ones that might accomplish it. Our coach loses as a double digit favorite all the time.

It’s cute seeing Gumps pile on the DeBoer bandwagon now

OP defended him all offseason.

Then bailed off after the FSU loss.

Now he's back on, apparently.

Or, we’re about to lose to Missouri like some of us have indicated is very likely and it’s hilarious that our coach is setup to still dominate the other supposedly decent coaches in the conference. Shame on those other coaches

Such a weird thread. And even weirder that you put so much effort into it.

Nobody cares what their record is against a coach not even halfway into his 2nd year.

Yeah, I’m sure Kirby, Sark, and BK aren’t concerned at all about being 0-2 against DeBoer and likely never being able to catchup (note: BK’s is “mathematically” still able to be 1-1). You’re right, coaches love to lose to other coaches and it doesn’t bother them

P.S. BK may actually not care about the losing part…he seems content with the money and fewer trophies than Jimbo Fisher.

Mike Norvell is indeed probably very pleased with his 1-0 record vs KD. He’s clearly the better coach, right?

Kirby and BK have both lost home games to DeBoer. Sark lost 2 neutral site games to DeBoer. DeBoer has lost exactly zero home games to Mike Norvell or any other coach while at Bama. He’s lost 1 neutral site game with the worst Bama “QB” in decades, and it wasn’t to Norvell. You really suck at this internet thing don’t you.

Who are you trying to convince…me or yourself?

Your thread is about 1-1 records and 1-0 records and 0-0 records…. Cmon man, shouldn’t yall be focused on Mizzou?
