Short random thoughts on Texas QBs

just watched 2nd half Florida game.
Manning looked pretty darn good starting end of 3rd Qtr. He had a lot of bad things to deal with (pressure/game time/large deficit/no rushing O.). Maybe he turned a corner after a "the hell with it" moment.
That said. I couldnt believ how good that Caldwell QB looked on one play.
Ton of pressure: coming in cold. He was so calm and cool. stood iin pocket, then slowly read his receivers from left to right before a perfect throw to the 3rd option in a split second- all witn 30 seconds on the clock at his own 25 or so.
I saw he was a senior transfer from Troy, so must have a lot of experience. and he's big (6'4 215 or so).
I'm sure Tex would not bench Manning, but damn! that guy looks good. saw he was 7-10 for the season. not sure what he did in other games.

Anticipation throw, before the WR hit his break.
He is very good, but unless Manning is injured, he won't get his moment to show what he can do.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him as a 2nd or 3rd string guy in the NFL.

Unleash the Caldwell. Sark needs to save himself

Meanwhile, the Florida defense is taking a breather while the substitute QB does a boring off-tackle play. Only he threw the ball. Either way, Florida's D wasn't paying attention.

Not true at all. Do you just grab shite out your backside and thriw it up in a post???
Rigggggght, the FL D decided to take a "breather" with 30 seconds left when one big play could result in a tie game, and they were expecting an off tackle run.
In reality, as hinted by the actual informed poster above you, it was very tight coverage, all the receivers were covered, and he made a PERFECT throw (and great catch).
Honestly, why are you wasting your life here with stupid comments?

I think due to rivalries and family history Arch has the weight of the world on his shoulders. For a kid his age that is a lot no matter who you are. Let him complete one damned season before throwing him into the dumpster. How good were you the second year of college? And I don’t mean how good at hitting the bong and chasing tail. A lot of kids do really well at the QB position with his time at Texas. But they don’t carry that weight. Ease up.

Manning was pressured 59% of the time. Not making excuses for him, but no QB is gonna have a great day when your oline cant get you protection. Though, Manning did hold onto the ball too long, scrambled into a sack, or missed targets.

Makes sense Caldwell is a Transfer. Not there long enough for Sark to mess up.

If Maning could hit a deep ball or hit a few consistent passes, it would back that pressure off. But he sucks so they’re just brining the house. Even if they had only had three d lineman coming with pressure, if they knew the QB was releasing the ball quick, they too would slow down to jump and try to bat the ball down, because in their head they would think… he’s throwing quick so let me knock it down.
A consistent quarterback who can get the ball out quick, make a good reads fast, will not get pressured often. Even if you have to throw it away quick. It’s what makes the good ones, great. But Arch thinks he’s still playing against him he Louisiana school for regard fat kids and he can out run everyone.

Rebbed Up- honest question:
Did you even read my post? Ease up from what??? I was complementing Arch's play.
Seriosly, I'd like to hear from you,

When your O-Line are true Texas fans (sitting back and watching the action) instead of being a lineman and doing lineman stuff, like blocking, schemes etc.

Florida wasn't really blitzing. They were getting pressure with mostly just their dline.
