Hate Texas Week Kickoff Thread

Yes, the Red River Shootout (RRS) or Red River Rivalry (RRR) if you prefer is next Saturday.
As part of the buildup to the contest with OUr biggest rival, here is a thread to post the best and worst you got about the Sooners and the whorns.
In Oklahoma we say avoid the rush, hate Texas early.
As you should already be aware the annual contest is played in the old Cotton Bowl during the Texas State Fair and tickets are split 50-50 between the two schools with the 50-yard line being the divide between the red clad sooners and burnt orange whorns.
On a personal note I have sat in a seat on the divide with a Sooner to my left and a whorn to my right.
Because the crowd is half and half means for every play at least half the stadium is on their feet screaming as loud as possible. The effect of this makes both ends of the stadium the equivalent of a home game atmosphere once the offense reaches the redzone.

Don't really hate either team that much but I guess a TX win would be better for us if we could somehow miraculously get our act together and contend for a spot in the SECCG. I do think that OK defense is going to give Arch a lot of problems though.

I think I'll pull for Oklahoma. My team still has to play you guys and if we win after y'all beat TX it would help our strength of schedule.

I’m so glad you put a signature after every post you make. I literally have no clue who makes the post until I read the signature. Matter fact, you’re the only poster here that I know who posts when they post. When everyone else posts, I have no idea who posted it because they don’t put their username at the bottom.

Texas counts victories against OU's football team before Oklahoma was a state. Weak, pathetic and not surprising.
They are not bluebloods, having one ten year period of greatness, surrounded by literal mediocracy (that one title with VY doesn't count for much, even if disregarding resources; see Colorado). OU, Ohio State and Southern Cal are the only ones that approach Bama's greatness as a blueblood.
And Texas University is located in Texas, which is enough said.

People can argue all day long about which college rivalry is "the best" or "most intense" or "most heated"...
But as a sheer spectacle... Nothing else matches this game. A three day party.... It is football game wrapped in a festival. It has been stated by the Dallas CofC that as many people come to Dallas that weekend just to be in town that weekend.... as there are people who actually have tickets to the game.
