They have to live in Columbia, South Carolina…also brutal

That heats a killer down there in Columbia

Columbia is a nice place.

We prefer to use our catch phrase "Famously Hot."
As Lou once told me, "it ain't hell, but it's right next door."

Columbia is nicer than a lot of SEC towns

My first thought. Half the SEC can't be talking shite here

There isn't a square mile in the state of Oklahoma nicer than Columbia.

This was always my concern with adding Texas and OU and going to 9 games moving forward.
There are too many losses to be handed out and it’s going to knock everyone back until the CFP stops looking at things like losses without factoring in schedule.
9-3 in the SEC this year is going to be as impressive as 11-1 in the B12.

Norman, OK should sit this one out.

It will be impressive to those of us who follow the SEC closely and know how hard it is to get up every single week, and play in front of 100k fans week in and out.
But for those who don't follow it closely, 11-1 will look better.
The SEC is screwed and with the new 9 game conference schedule we screwed ourselves even more.

I've said it for years. The only thing the 9 game schedule will do is give 1/2 the teams in the league 1 extra loss...

Thank you.

And our two current losses are now to #16 & #19. At the end of our season, it could be likely our entire schedule is ranked in the top 25 except VA Tech, Kentucky, Coastal Carolina, and probably Clemson (though even they could sneak back in there).

Damn that is pretty brutal. I wish the Big 10 would have to face that shite every year so they would STFU.

I liked living in Columbia. Cool city. Lots to do.
Good people.
2-3 hours from the mountains, the beaches, and lots more. And, good hunting and fishing.

Who cares if your team is 11-1 if they never played a worthy opponent? That is very Notre Dame-esque thinking. Never be afraid of competition.

Don't forget they have to beat the refs to!!!

It is part of the SEC and B1G pushes to force reform in playoff expansion and get guaranteed playoff berths for each.

Which is why we never should've agreed to it without a massive new TV deal and a set criteria for CFP inclusion based on adjusted resume (how well did you play against the teams you played) rather than moronic counting of wins and losses.
I'd rather FPI decide who is in the playoffs than the CFP based on what I've seen from them the last 5 years.
