Why is this a trend? College and professional teams incorporating black in their uniforms. When during the history of their program they’ve never had black.

Even their regular unis are garbage. Had one of the best looks in the NFL and destroyed it.

Nike. Oregon’s teams were their original test lab years ago and now it’s everywhere - college, NBA, MLB and now NFL.
Might as well get used to it as the younger gens, including the players, love the eleventy-hundred uniforms and “special edition” looks.
It’s all about “fire” and “ice” (and of course, selling even more team gear).

I thought they were pretty sweet. Those uniforms reminded me of growing up watching Miami Vice as a kid.

not just college and pro. my old high school had the perfect red and white but added black to the mix maybe in the late 90's (?)
