Has there ever been a season when the top two preseason SEC quarterbacks, odds on favorites to be in New York for the Heisman ceremony, have flopped as badly as Nuss and Arch this season?

Or are we watching history unfold every Saturday?

Don't forget about DJ Lagway and Sellers. They all belong in the same category.

It still blows me away that Arnold hasn't panned out at either school he has been at. I thought he would be a baller for sure.

Arch
Nuss

that's a flameout list I don't think we've seen in the SEC

Arnold plays quarterback like a guy who has a closet full of rare Beanie Babies he brushes and talks to every night.

Sellers

Sellers is currently the third highest rated QB in the SEC. He played well in their loss to Missouri, a 178.5 rating. Missouri was just better. And he got injured early against Vandy.

Sellers has been good. His lowest rating in a game so far this season is 131.9. He has been over 169 every other game.

By comparison Nuss only has one game with a rating over 135. That was against SELA.

Arch has feasted on two cupcakes, but had a rating of less than 110 in games where he played real defenses.

Lagway has been straight trash against everyone but Long Island University.

But neither Lagway nor Sellers were considered Heisman ceremony locks like Arch and Nuss by anyone but dumbass ranters.

If you watched him against VT and Vandy, you would get it. I admittedly didn't watch Mizzou or UK but he did not pass the eye test against either of the first two. Just wildly inaccurate.

I haven’t watched any USCe games. But his completion percentage is better than the conference average, he has thrown just one INT, is fourth best in int %, and he is rated #3 overall.

He may have looked bad at times. But you can’t look bad all the time or be wildly inaccurate all the time and have those stats.

Has he been great? No.

But he doesn’t deserve to be lumped in with Nuss, Arch, Lagway or Arnold.

You probably need the [sarcasm] tag, surely.

I think Manning will be better than he was against UTEP but if he comes up shaky again, Sark needs to sit Arch for a few series to get him grounded. There are no gimmes in conference play, especially on the road. Matthew Caldwell is a capable backup.

It’s the new generation. He didn’t grow up with Archie as his dad.

That's really not saying a lot. Texas has only played 1 P4 team this season, a loss to #1 Ohio State. At Florida will be the second opportunity.
