Apparently HY met with Pittman after the game. Not any other details than that, but basically some sort of settlement is going to be reached.

No timetable stated.

That's the rumor on Discord.

At this point, I personally don't give a frick. He needs to be shown the door and while 3 million is 3 million...go ahead and get it over with and fire him.

Any number higher than 5 is a loss on HYs part, your allowing him to save face by retiring, he's going to lose the games to drop the buyout.

Yeah it's only 3 mil out of the operating budget HY was bitching about last week while bragging about secondary sport success.

We are so dumb. Could have gotten rid of him last year and been the only SEC job open but instead will fire him halfway through the season this year when there’s going to be multiple SEC jobs open. Great job team.

Hopefully only Florida is open. Auburn might win enough to keep Freeze. UK can’t afford to fire stoops right?

I think Freeze gets another year. They're showing improvement and will finish with a winning record, plus they don't want to keep hiring and firing coaches every 2 to 3 years.

Stoops is almost assuredly gone at UK. Napier is a dead man walking.

I don't think there's any others that'll be looking in the SEC. The other bluebloods outside the conference look to be set for another year at least.

It won't be the market it was last year, but should still be a pretty quiet off-season for coaching changes. There's a lot of good options out there if your only requirement is "better than what we've had." I fully believe we can make a splash hire and get the money flowing to compete with the right hire - and HY out of the way.

We are not a poorer state or fanbase than Ole Miss, State, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, or Auburn. Arkansas is the only show in the state and has some wealthy alum and boosters. Money isn't an issue with the right guy and right person in the AD, and is no excuse as to why we can't compete with the programs listed above. It's been a crutch used by HY and Pittman to blame everyone but themselves for the state of the program.

On a slow boat in Lake Hamilton?

This can’t be allowed to occur without a review of this cringeworthy vid as he and the AD were looking forward to a bright future for our football team.

Why? The footballs underperforming on the field has led to underperforming off the field.

Football generates roughly 15 mil last year in revenue.

For comparison the men's basketball ball team generated roughly 8 mil in revenue last year.

Yes there are more basketball games, but roughly a 1/4 of the attendance potential for each game.

Every other program lost money last year. The money problem is misallocation of funds from edge creating the problem, this is why you hear HY brag about the total number of championships for Arkansas compared to the rest of the SEC obviously coming in the secondary non revenue producing sports. But hey the men's basketball program has NC potential as well as the baseball program, allegedly. So everyone should be satisfied.

If they football program wasn't what it is with non competitive blowouts and losses that should never happen occuring on the regular it would generate more revenue. Basically the moment issue would fix itself, it isn't an either or, it's a refusal to try to have both.

If HYs vision is for Arkansas to be a basketball school, he needs to sell his vision to the fanbase so he can hire a cheap up and comer and the resources can be fully allocated in that direction instead of half assing it everywhere, go all in somewhere.

The Arkansas way.

The fact that Pittman hasn't been terminated yet tells me that we still don't have a plan for football.

Great job as always.
