I’ve watched ~20 minutes. Plan to finish it later, love this dude’s YouTube channel.
He’s very bullish on Ty. Was interesting to see the All-22 angles and see what Ty was seeing. Florida State ran some good stuff on D against us; looks like they did their homework in the offseason (Wommack should have been expelled for sleeping during all of summer school).
I don’t agree that 4/5 OL are overweight. Proctor is overweight and terrible against speed rush. Geno VD and Formby are just mid (at best), regardless of what weight they play at. Brailsford is a beast, though I think he could use another 10 lbs of good weight in the long term. But he has been phenomenal for us since the day he stepped on campus. And Dewberry seems to be serviceable at the very least, while making some ‘Wow’ blocks here and there. I don’t know what Dewberry’s performance so far looks like from a quantitative/stats perspective, but I feel like we would be in a very good spot on the OL if he was the worst of the starting 5.
Final thought - if Ty continues to elevate his game, Lotty Brooks will put up huge numbers. That dude is ALWAYS open. He is a big problem for DBs, especially with the attention that has to be allocated to Bernard and Williams.

Geno VDM has been serviceable. Not great but not terrible either. Jaedon Roberts, if he can stay healthy, is good. Brailsford is very good. Formby is very erratic/inconsistent. Proctor is hands down the weakest link and it’s not even close. Dude is terrible. He’s gonna need a TE lined up next to him every play or have a RB get a chip block on most plays.
If Proctor doesn’t get some help, I can see his man racking up 8-10 sacks in every single game.

I watched the whole film guy tape and he said multiple times and I agree 74 is 30 to 40 pounds over weight. He said he gets beat at least half a dozen times a game by speed rush. He also said he's seen it for three years. 56 is mid , scared of contact. 71 is slow, 75 just isn't athletic enough. 72 is the best center in college football. From what I saw the running backs aren't the problem , it's the o-line and the missing of blocks including the TE'S . He basically said what were running is NFL blocking and we don't have guys who can block one on one and beat the guy across from them, said we should change up our blocking and go to something most colleges run like counter blocking or zone blocking.

Doesnt take much film study to realize proctor is nearly worthless. Fat, slow, lazy, and grossly overpaid.

Yeah I wish Proctor had stayed at Iowa

I hope Deboer changes the way Bama recruits OL. It seems like the OL issues have gone back years...back into the latter part of Saban era. Linemen are too big, not skilled. A lot of guys with "potential" but just werent good linemen

We really don’t have anyone better than 74 at left tackle?
He has a shite attitude on top of being terrible at football due to being too fat to move his feet.

I think his conclusion that four of the five are overweight is due to how slow they move and how slow footed they are, which he would be right about that. After watching that I quit counting the number of times they get beat off the snap or are too slow in getting to their intended point of contact. They just look slow. So my guess is that is where he got his "over weight" assessment.

The strange thing is that DeBoer had smaller linemen at Washington and I kinda figured he'd start moving toward that, but even the signees from last year, except Lloyd, are huge. The guys in the portal have been enormous. This year's guys that are committed do seem a bit smaller.
I honestly don't know that size is the issue for all of them, though. I didn't think that position was coached well last year and I don't think it's being coached well this year.
I agree that Proctor is too big, though. The fact that none of the coaches nor him made him losing 30 pounds a priority is baffling to me.

Agree.
It’s not a fat issue other than Proctor, they’re just mid outside of Brailsford who is as good as we’ve had at center since Dickerson left.
