State has women cheerleaders; aggies are just maroons…

MSU Maroon (Mississippi State) is not the same shade as Texas A&M's maroon; while both use maroon, the specific shades differ. Texas A&M's official maroon color is Pantone® 7421C, and Mississippi State also has its own distinct shade of maroon. There isn't a universal "true maroon," and both schools' maroons are unique

Allows Adidas to cut down on design cost.

Depends on the year and jersey company. The current maroon we use is closer to the older Jackie years with the interlocking MSU logo which is awesome.
During the Croom years we had a slightly different color which I always hated.
Does aTm still use adidas?

They are pretty close but not the same by those color codes.
Sort of like how Bama's Crimson is just a bit rustier looking than OU's.
Particularly the helmets.
Arkansas and OU's colors are hard to tell apart even though Arkansas is supposed to be "cardinal".
