Please explain how this is illegal deception.

Also OU ask the refs about the play before game and they said it was legal.

The illegal deception is not that he then got back to the line, it’s how he got over there. Acting like he’s walking off the field and then right at the sideline he walks back up to the line….tough to argue when the head of the SEC put out a statement that the officials were wrong.

No, the SEC office statement about this being a rule violation is wrong.
Of course, they can say whatever they want without repercussion.
It is a judgement called. They are judging Sategna's intent.
He never left the field. He walked to his spot and lined up. No violation.
The SEC office is wrong and they threw their officiating crew under the bus.

Thanks for identifying the ref that the league said missed the call. You guys keep talking about that sideline play and keep overlooking all the PI calls that were mised.
