With a loss on Nov 1 to Auburn at home (where Pittman teams have always played like shite), Sam Pittman will be fired.

His record since 2021 will be 29-30 at that point and then his buyout will drop to $5M. They also can't let him stay on and get a win against Moo State potentially and raise his buyout back to 9-10M.

We all know the current admin has no balls and no will to spend anythimg, so they will cheap out, watch the ship burn from another 4-5 weeks and then make Bobby the interim for the remainder of the season.

I'm sure TWill will probably fall on the sword for this game since he's in yr 3 of his contract and they don't owe him buyout after this yr. The only issue is, who on the Def staff will be any better?? That's why they could keep everyone intact until then.

After Halloween, all bets are off.

He is 32-33 right now and 14-29 in the SEC.
He is 7-19 in one score games.

I’ve been the biggest fire Pittman on every forum. He isn’t getting fired before November. But I would guess it will be after Missouri.

The good news is that it looks like it'll be another fairly quiet coaching changes season so far, like last year. We'll be competing with an opening at Florida for sure, but otherwise I'm not seeing any surefire openings. Maybe an LSU if their offense continues to struggle, or Alabama if they fall back apart, but those were never in our tier of candidates anyway.

Clemson and Oklahoma State will almost assuredly be looking out of conference, but other than that there's not many clear openings coming. There's several teams that will be *just good enough* to keep theirs another year. Now is the time to make it happen (last year really was, but that's not possible now)

Hugh Freeze or Venables depending how this season goes, both sides are restless.

Clemson will pull their shite together and end up in the conference championship.

Alabama needs 60+ to fire their coach.

LSU has a big buyout too I believe..

But who are you looking at stealing? If Yuracheck is allowed to pick it will be Odom. He needs to go too.

I think both of these are fine for another year, their teams are showing marked improvement. Oklahoma just dropped Auburn by a touchdown at home, both ranked in the top 25. I think their fans are happy with the direction it's going.

Odom and Mullen should be bottom of the list, last resort kind of guys. Not the worst, but definitely not your top names.

I know some of the shine has worn off, but I think Lashlee is the clear target. You bring him in, and - it makes me sick to even say it - get Malzahn as his OC and let them cook. That is only IF Gus is really serious about preferring to remain a coordinator.

The added bonus is that it just might finally remove the curse of Gus, without having to endure that slimy bastard as HC.

Or you take a flyer on Gruden and throw caution to the wind. He wants to coach in the SEC, loves Arkansas, is a big name that would give us instant notoriety in the news cycle, and generate tons of NIL donations. It could very easily go horribly wrong too, but we aren't in the position to keep pussyfooting around.

Dabo has completely fallen off, but you'd never be able to hire a coach with his resume at Arkansas without what's about to happen at the end of their season. Same with Gundy, could a change of atmosphere after long stints reneergize them? You never know.

Then you have the promising up and comers, hell even Memphis's coach could be a good one.

The point is, if we're one of only a few bigger names open we'll have a lot of options to choose from. We just need the AD to buckle down and decide that they're going all-in like they did with basketball. Throw all the cards on the table and make something big happen, and the NIL and ticket sales will flow wide open.

To be clear, I do not want Gundy.

It was just an example of the kind of names that will be available and unemployed

Last coach with his resume from Clemson we hired worked out well.

Glenn Schumann is gonna get hired by someone and given the resources. He will be a winner.

Hunters dumbass just put it out that we arent willing to play the same game the rest of the SEC is playing. There are 0 quality candidates who will want this job with him at the helm.

Fire HY now, Hire his replacement by end of November, let new guy hire a coach.

Do not do the Bert schedule and fire both in the same week at the end of November.

He said we don’t have the NIL to a room of donors hoping they would give him money. What he doesn’t understand is no one trusts him with the money and wants to give money to a loser AD and a loser coach.

Sick of hearing about NIL as an excuse. Surely we outclass Memphis NIL and we still lost

Six years into the NIL era and I’ve still not been contacted by anyone from the university asking me if I’d be willing to contribute to NIL. He was saying that we needed money publicly before I had even heard of specific fundraising efforts.

I like HY but he completely screwed us on the transition to the modern era. His job is to raise money and I don’t think he has given his best effort.

I think any NIL struggles just about erase themselves entirely with a good coach incoming that can generate some excitement.

Every diehard Hog fan I know right now is disillusioned and apathetic with regards to football, and will outright say as much. I watched the OM game with a large group of what most would consider prime NIL donators, and every single one had that "I knew it was coming, that's why I've completely given up caring" sentiment afterwards.

These are people that grew up going to the games as kids, attended the university, have legacy connections all over the place, and used to take their own kids to the games as season ticket holders. Most what would be considered wealthy. All had completely given up caring or trying to be engaged.

If they can manage to make a similar "splash" hire as Cal, those butts would be right back in the seats and the money flowing in. For whatever reason Yurachek either doesn't realize this or is resigned to this fate.

I don't understand it. You pay Pittman what, $6 million a year? You spend $4 million a year more than that to land a top target and MORE than make up that difference in ticket sales, merch, and donations easily.

2020 doesn’t count for the shitty contract Hunter gave him.

You have to shite can him when the buyout gets to that minimal number.

Rhett and Gus bus with some money behind them is intriguing.

Dabo? GTFO, that is literally never happening.

Hiring Gus would be the final nail in the coffin and Lashlee doesn't want any part of this dumpster fire.
