We should be able to score points, What this game will boil down to is this. Go back to last years game and Kirby going for it on Fourth Down.

I dont think he respects our defense. If its inside of five yards on fourth down he's gonna go for it unless field position is just absolutely ridiculous. This game will be won or lost on third or fourth down by the Alabama D and I am cringing thinking about it.

He didn't have a choice. They were down 30-7 at the half. Had nothing to do with respecting our defense or not, when you're getting your eyes beat out like that, you've got to let it fly and the whole field is third down territory

More likely to be won on first down. Which team will stay ahead of the chains on offense

He's made some truly dumbass decisions against us over the years, but if he refuses to run Stockton, knowing damn well Kane's defense has been shredded time and time again by mobile quarterbacks, the conspiracy theorist in me is gonna start thinking he's sabotaging on purpose out of respect to us or Saban for putting him on the map.

My take: We will beat Georgia because we have a better team.

UNLESS:

Ty Simpson gets psyched out by the road environment. He's built a lot of confidence over the last 2 weeks. Let's hope that carries into Athens.

Georgia and their 'black out' will only add more pressure on them and play tight.

The team is talented enough to win. If they sustain the effort they have shown and take the crowd out early, Bama wins.

My concern isn't for Ty.

The coaching staff's effort to focus the team, not make it bigger than it is, and find a way to not call a tight game and overthink things is the unproven aspect with DeBoer on the road.

Bama is to UGA AS UGA is to Tennessee. The staff and coaches just need to prepare the team and coach to that. It will play out.

Ty isn’t my concern at all. The offensive line giving him time and not having him running for his life all night is my concern.

The entire team got psyched out and has been last season as well.

That is one coaching. You have to get them prepared. That isn't on Ty

This is my concern as well. This staff has yet to show me they can mentally prepare the team to play winning football on the road and that is a DIRECT FUNCTION of coaching.

FWIW, Saban had trouble doing it in his later years too. Could just be the available resources that one has to work with.

No doubt Saban's program was slipping in his last few years. The undicisplined play on the field, and players talking about having "anxiety" playing in places that used to not give them even the sweats, etc.

What type of "resources" are you talking about that we once had, that we no longer do? I see other teams go into big, hostile environments and play fine. So what type of "resources" do they have that we don't?

He didn't have a choice. About half of those 4th down conversions were the result of a weak pass interference calls.

I agree in regards to the team as a whole, but Ty has had confidence issues going back to when Saban was here.

I think getting live game reps against easy opponents the past 2 weeks has done a world of good for his confidence and decisiveness. I just hope he can carry that into a really hostile environment against a great defense like he'll see in Athens.
If Ty plays like he did vs. Wisconsin, we'll beat Georgia. If he goes into a shell, we're dead meat.

This is true as well. However he still had enough of a grasp on the pulse of the team to know when to tear into them and when to ignore the media and fans and baby them.

KDB? He has learned all that yet but he got quite the less a couple weeks ago and we have seen a change in the staff which of course resulted in a change in the team.

Honestly though? I'm a supporter of players getting paid (but not with this wild wild west system with free transfers) but the climate of paying players combined with social media, free transfers, etc... has led to mentally weaker players.

We were tougher. They just aren't and it takes them more time to develop that toughness because they get everything up front.

You could take out the word "Ty" and you can sub in "Milroe". Heck you could sub in any if our 'star' players the last seasons.

Saban described it as anxiety and this is from their fear of failure with the tremendous expectations

Or perhaps it's a result of coddling these professionals even more than they used to be. Most of these kids give 0 fricks about the school or even the team, as long as they look good for nfl scouts. *not talking about just our school.
