This weird and winding quarterback ride that Georgia fans have been on is now in its fifth season.
The JT Daniels transfer marked the beginning. The biggest plot twist was Stetson Bennett coming out of frigging nowhere to end up on Georgia football Mount Rushmore. And now there's the thought of two quarterbacks on last year's roster being Heisman Trophy finalists.
It's all sort of headspinning.

I don't think Beck sucked last season, I just think he threw way too many interceptions. He got on quite a roll there in the middle of the season!
Definitely a dooshbag and messed up our team chemistry last season, however.

Small sample size, he looked great in many games for us. He still has it in him to screw up a major game.

I thought Beck was terrible last year. I think the receivers and OL blocking issues affected him mentally and started his path off the rails. I'm glad things are working out for him in Miami. It was definitely the best move for him. The chemistry just wasn't there with him and the rest of the team.

I think that he lost his confidence. Part of that is on him and his focus and his priorities. But any time a quarterback loses his confidence, part of it is on the coaches too. Being a de facto sports psychologist is a big part of being a coach.

First, I like Beck. He threw for over 3400 yards for us last season and was our main offensive weapon. I wish him well with Miami.
Second, I think hate is an overly strong word to use relative to Beck and his relationship with his teammates. I seriously doubt if any members of our team "hated" Beck but I do think some of them probably prefer playing with a gritty lunch pail guy like Gunner.

What percentage of the players on last year's team would've helped out Carson Beck in a bar fight compared to what percentage of players on the team would help out Gunner Stocton in a bar fight, if Gunner Stocton wasn't feeding his barnyard animals or reading Bible scripture and actually went to the bar?
