1951 vs Georgia Tech.
This thread has no real point. I just though 13 turnovers was hard to imagine. It's hard to get 13 possessions in a game.

Well, if you turn it over a lot, there would be a lot of shortened drives.
Also, TAMU's last National Championship in any sport was 12 years old when that occurred.

Last year, the team with the most turnovers for the season had 17 turnovers for the whole season. That was the team with the MOST turnovers in college football in 2024.

I guess shitposting is an secrant requirement, no matter how benign the thread topic.

Doesn't count. Everyone knows modern football didn't begin until about 1957. Around 1 year before LSU's first National Championship and 18 years AFTER Aggie's Last National Championship in a Major Men's Sport.

That’s a disputed championship. There was another undefeated team with a claim on it.

We’ve won multiple NCs in other sports since 1939 dumbass.

Georgia seems to be one of the few fanbases that doesn’t have beef for beef’s sake with A&M. Maybe it’s because we’ve only played each other once in the past thirteen years or so.

Not any that matter.

In 1981 we turned it over nine times vs. Clemson and lost 13-3. Clemson went on to win the national title of course.

Also a crazy stat. The 80s were a time when great defenses would give up only around 200 yards a game. Defenses could be so, so much more physical, with the QB and with the WRs.

Also had less plays per game and worse playing surfaces.

I love old stats like this.
In 1985, Auburn beat Ole Miss 42-0 and the total yardage was 606 - 9. It’s hard for me to imagine an SEC team only managing 9 yards in a game. Ole Miss had one first down which was in the first minute of the game, and then went on to not get a first down for the final 59 minutes.

Worst ive ever seen was in a HS game i was coaching a few years ago. We ended up with 9 turnovers in the game. We turned it over 7 times in the first half. Oh and it was homecoming. Big OOF that night.

That 1951 Georgia Tech team finished 11-0-1 and #5 in the AP Poll.
