Where does Florida go from here?

USF is legit. No doubt they are ranked next week after back to back wins over ranked teams. A bit of prospective that needed to be said.
Taken in a vacuum the loss, while heartbreaking is not indicative of a program killer. But on the whole, with the run of coaches, and Napiers reality? It’s a bitter pill in Florida. Beat LSU, at night, in their yard and all is forgotten. Right? The roster is too good, too talented to just mail it in.

Nah LSU doesn’t matter. Nothing is forgiven, losing that game at home with your 2.5 million dollar QB in year 4. Florida football is dead. We are irrelevant now, yall have a blast this year.

To Baton Rouge. Next question.

Even if USF is that good, we looked inept. Lagway is regressing. Just like Richardson did. Our OL gets pushed around. We've got guys spitting on opposing players.
We've made zero progress since Mullen. Zero. Napier is not the guy. I still have friends that say, "well if he would just hire an OC." frick all that. He needs to go.
As for the rest of the season, yeah I'm sure we will see some fight next week. As the losses mount, the effort will drop.

I think they will beat LSU and then the Gator hype train continues before they go on to have multiple losses. Am not not a believer in LSU right now. USF would probably beat LSU as well after watching them last night.

Next Sat is going to be a good game. I was not impressed with the LSU game at all minus the D. Overall, folding clothes would have been more entertaining.

He deserves another year.
Absolutely. Find a complicated system and needs to get his players in there. Cupboard was bare

Napier is not the guy.
Every time I see him speak, he seems like a really good, likeable guy. What I never see is The Man In Charge. He just seems like a regular guy, not someone in charge of a major football program.
With coaches like Saban and Kirby, you always knew they are always The Man In Charge.

it’s not even just losing the game, it’s losing with horrible coaching and player execution/discipline that is unacceptable
- throwing an incomplete pass on first down the series before the final drive to stop the clock
- one of your players spitting right in front of ref and getting a 15 yard personal foul penalty that also stopped the clock before the 2 minute warning
- not using your two timeouts to stop the clock to give yourself a chance, or not just letting them score a TD so you can get the ball back down 6…none the clock strategy made sense

UF starting the season as a top 20 top was always bizarre.

However, not in a vacuum it is a program killer because it is symptomatic of how dysfunctional Florida runs its football program.
One loss didn't kill the program. The program has been dead for years, starting with Dan Mullen (I'd say since the shoe toss), and Napier has completely failed to bring it back to life.
It's easy to say in hindsight it's a terrible hire, but even when it was announced I didn't really understand it. Dan sucked the life out of the program and UF needed someone exciting to pump life back into it.
Now I don't think there's anyone out there who can revive it, and if there is, they won't want to ruin their career going to a dysfunctional dead program like Florida.

I mean. I offer Dan Lanning 15M if they are serious. I think he's the best coach in the game currently.

Finished last year strong, Lagway was supposed to be a difference maker, the roster is loaded(11th best blue chip ratio in country)
The preseason hype and ranking was warranted.
