Was just a cupcake game, but there were thankfully all positives

1. Team showed a lot of energy, hopefully that extra motivation to prove themselves continues.

2. No turnovers and very few penalties.

3. Good crowd, was worried after last week about a half empty stadium, instead it was full and lively.

4. Hopefully gained confidence.

This is critical going forward. Especially on offense.

I’ll just add that FSU does look the part of a Top 15 team

I saw NO loafing or jogging around out there. 100 per cent effort from everyone I saw. Getting beat is one thing. Loafing/jogging around and not trying are completely unacceptable. None of that last night was encouraging.

Good to see some younger or less experienced guys get some game reps.

There's not a huge amount of separation between Simpson and Mack/Russell. Simpson looked great but we could win with either Mack or Russell.

As thread OP pointed out this was against a clearly inferio openent but I saw the kind of 'swarm' attack which is hard to get worked up for against a rent-a-win.

Also, Cole Cublic provide some incredibly insightful commentary for the game last night. For example --

Near the end of the first half, a touchdown was called back two or three times. Once, when Ty ran it in, Center, Parker Brailsford was called for holding.

Cole, said "I don't know... that felt like like domination".. A moment later, when Cole is asked about Brailsford performance so far, Cole's responses was quick and didn't mince words..."I think he's the best player on this football team; and the best Center in College football".

Cole didn't let his Auburn love keep him from praising this team. I enjoyed his commentary

I respect the hell out of Cubelic. Dude knows what he's talking about and is incredibly insightful. Even though he's an Aub, I appreciate the fact that he doesn't let his barnerness skew his opinions and impressions. Very objective when it comes to Bama.

There were a lot of teams that had cupcake games that didn’t look as good. Proud of the guys response.

Troy/Clemson
LSU and La for the blind was close in score. And mettenburger had a terrible game for them.

SC and SC State for the other people was 3 to zero in favor of the less important school. It ended up being 38-10 but was 17-3 at half.

Georgia beat Austin Pea Pants 28 to 6. I mean really?

Yes ULM is trash, but so are a lot teams that got beat and those who won didn’t look as good.

Hope they didn’t use all the energy and points last night

I'd take Cole over Greg "Booger 2.0" McElroy every single time, no hesitation.

This is what we expected from the is team. Very clean game and the younger players showed they are hungry to see playing time. It was great to see lower depth chart players come out and play and we had no drop off of the intensity or level of play.

Since all the skill players across the country have disappointed (except maybe OK’s QB), I’ll start it…”Brailsford for Heisman!” #FreeTheBigUglies

Team looked focused and sharp. Finishing blocks, gang tackling, swagger.

Beat an inferior opponent the way they should. All gas, no breaks, and finished.

That is the process. Regardless of opponent

Parker was punished for basically a pancake block. It was BS.

Team showed improvement, especially with penalties.
Still need to continue improving on tackling and some other areas.
I'm waiting until after the UGA game before feeling better about this team and staff. I want to see how the team responds when UGA smacks them in the mouth.

Hopefully it's the same type of smack they gave Austin Peay.
