Kentucky Wildcats vs. Ole Miss Rebels

Date & Time: Saturday, September 6th @ 3:30 PM EST

Location: Kroger Field in Lexington (KY)

TV: ABC

Streaming: WatchESPN

Radio: UK Sports Network with Tom Leach and Jeff Piecoro

Rosters: UK/MISS

Stats: UK/MISS

Odds: Ole Miss is a 10.5-point favorite via FanDuel Sportsbook.

Early Predictions: Odds Shark has Ole Miss winning 41-10. Dimers.com has it Ole Miss 31, Kentucky 21. Our own Samuel Hahn picked Ole Miss to win 28-27.

Austin Simmons is turnover prone, and Kewan Lacy is inexperienced.

Kentucky is much more talented than Ole Miss just like last year and they don't have the weapons to stop UK from controlling the clock and running the ball. Ole Miss's offense will be sidelined for most of the game. Ole Miss out drinks everyone but Kentucky in this match up including Stoops himself.

Kentucky 28
Ole Miss 21

Ole Miss OL looks like a joke from what I saw. Our D is solid, so folks thinking Lane is gonna come in here, sling it around, and run it up, haven't been paying attention.

The last 4 UK-OM games have been decided by 10 total pts.....3..3..3..and 1.....including an OT thriller. That 10.5 spread is Vegas banking on the general public looking at the jersey names, as well as the typical Week 1 overreaction.

That being said, Calzada is going to have to take a major step forward passing. He didn't look good. at all. Our RBs are great. Lane Train is gonna stack the box and dare ud to beat him in the air. Whether we can or not ultimately is what decides this one.

Kentucky's receivers can't get separation, so passing game will be TE only. Running game looks solid. Defense looks solid.

I think we tire down in the 3rd quarter and Ole Miss pulls away to win 35-17.

Rebs are 8-4 against the spread as road favorites in conference play since 2020. In that same span, the Cats are 5-3 against the spread as home underdogs in conference play. Three of UK's five "wins" against the spread have come against Georgia.

Bold of you to assume we can score 21.

My prediction?

You'll have two offensive TDs and one defensive or special teams.

I hope you're right.

What makes you say that?

Austin Simmons is turnover prone,
One of the interceptions he threw Saturday was due to him getting hit in the back in the middle of his throwing motion. The other he did rush the throw. He’s not “turnover prone” though

Kid's played about 3.5 quarters of football and already got a moniker.

Bo Wallace was turnover prone. He was a great Reb, but truly turnover prone.

We are! Safety, followed by an interception and finally a fumble by the tight end 30 yards down field. It was a hell of a first half by the offense.

Agree. I put 1 INT on him. The other truly wasnt his fault. It wasn’t like he was sitting in the pocket with the ball too long. Our right tackle got demolished and the defender came through almost immediately

We are Ole Miss, so probably Kentucky wins.

Kentucky still sucks in football, do not relish your victory over us for too long.
