The Transfer Portal Has Ended SEC Dominance

Remember the days when the SEC had multiple teams with less than 2 losses at the end of the year? One and two loss teams were regularly left out in the cold. The idea of a 3 loss team being the best in the conference was ridiculous. Now, not so much.
Georgia has lost 3 of their last 10 games against p4 teams.
LSU has lost 3 of their last 7 games against p4 teams.
Ole Miss has lost 3 of their last 9 games against p4 teams.
Texas has lost 3 of their last 5 games against p4 teams.
Alabama has lost 3 of their last 4 games against p4 teams.
Tennessee has lost 3 of their last 8 games against p4 teams
Florida has lost 3 of their last 7 games against p4 teams.
Auburn has lost 3 of their last 6 games against p4 teams.
Texas A&M has lost 3 of their last 3 games against p4 teams.
South Carolina has lost 3 of their last 9 games against p4 teams.
And next year we get a 9 game conference schedule and a mandatory p4 out of conference opponent?
(I am certain I may be off a game somewhere, but if so I am certain multiple posters will point it out).

Didn’t the SEC go 14-2 this weekend?
Just because Bama is done for the rest of this decade doesn’t mean everyone else is.

Definitely more parity but it also helps the really good teams get even better
Why sit somewhere when you can get nil and play somewhere else plus the nfl gets valuable tape to evaluate you

The SEC went 4-2 against power 4 schools this past weekend.

The key will be the committee putting their money where their mouth is.
If you continue to let the Indiana and smu skate in without playing anyone the sec will create another path

The only upset was yours. Texas lost to the defending national champs on their home field by one score. Y’all got beat by a 2 win team. If Bama had won then the narrative would be the “SEC dominated” and that OSU is still the team to beat

Maybe you will be able to grasp it if I put it in a record. Each teams record against p4 teams to get three losses.
Georgia: 7-3
LSU: 4-3
Ole Miss: 6-3
Texas: 2-3
Alabama: 1-3
Tennessee: 5-3
Florida: 4-3
Auburn: 3-3
Texas A&M: 0-3
South Carolina: 6-3
That is not ranked teams, just p4 teams. There is some cannibalism, but there always has been.
And yes, Alabama is hot dog water. But in the past when Alabama sucked another SEC team filled the void.
Now teams from other conferences are.
Georgia: 7-3
LSU: 4-3
Ole Miss: 6-3
Texas: 2-3
Alabama: 1-3
Tennessee: 5-3
Florida: 4-3
Auburn: 3-3
Texas A&M: 0-3
South Carolina: 6-3

UGA and LSU will happily step up as Bama burns. Don’t even worry about it.
Also your graph or whatever you did doesn’t make sense to me. Bama sucks, LSU and UGA are now the teams to beat. Maybe Texas if Arch was just rattled.

I do believe outright domination is over for any Conference now.
NIL allows big budgets to pillage rosters and fill holes with the best of the best.

You need to relax a little. You beat a shitty Clemson team, and have a coach who averages 4 losses a season.

Well, we can't all open with games like the mighty thundering herd.

We open with Clemson last year and beat the 34-3. We turned out to not be that good.

Oh, bless your heart. Sounds like a Georgia problem.

Hmm, this is awkward.
Kirby took over a team that was 20-6 the 2 seasons prior and lost 10 games in the first 3 seasons.
Kelly took over a team that was 11-12 the 2 seasons prior and lost 11 games the first 3 seasons.
It's lose-lose playing a top 5 Clemson as an underdog on the road when they have a Heisman candidate and projected top 10 pick at QB, 3 projected 1st round picks on DL and the most returning starters in the history of the universe, apparently.
Everyone picks you to lose, and if you somehow win, Clemson is shitty.
