1) Texas has an elite D, but possibly the worst QB in the SEC.

2) FSU may or may not be good, but Bama played 4 quarters of completely uninspired football on offense, defense and STs. That's unheard of for any team for the first game of the season and IMHO speaks volumes on the coaching. Who can't get up for the first game of the season. On top of that their QB is highly suspect, but better than Manning.

3) LSU looks like the best team in the SEC. Solid on both sides of the ball against a quality opponent. Good win.

4) Gamecocks did not impress. Ditto AU.

5) That's about it. Not much you can take away from the rest as all were cupcake games.

6) If you got something, toss it in the thread.

What makes their D elite. Is OSU’s D elite? Is Sayin the worst QB in the BIG?

We dominated that game my man. First game with a new team after flying halfway across the country and we get a win. I will take it.

Can’t argue with it.

It’s the first game of the season. It could mean everything, or it could mean nothing at all. Meaning, it could be the game that was the start of a magical championship season. Or it could be the one little hiccup on the way to a stellar championship season. It’s only the first game.

FSU being good is a guessing game..they could win 10 games, could win 7, could win 4..I doubt anyone knows right now.

Texas is likely to go at worst 6-2 in the SEC due to the schedule and possibly get into the SECCG against one of UGA, LSU, Florida, or OU.

I really don’t see Bama being a factor.

I asked for solid takes, not for a 60 Minutes interview. You want answers to those, start your own threads.

I'd like to think, the floor of the Texas offense was yesterday. So, we either keep being shite and need the defense to edge out close games or Arch and company actually progress through the season and reach whatever ceiling we have.

Ohio State had 203 yards of total offense, averaged 2.3 ypc, and Jeremiah Smith got completely shut down…again. You serious?

Yea, they are trolling at that point. That first offensive scoring drive, Ohio State could have been called for holding calls on the same plays they called us for defense penalties that lead to a touchdown. The score after the interception was legit by Ohio State as it gets though.

Auburn to Waco is hardly “halfway across the country.” But hey, man, good for y’all.

I didn’t watch the game. Just asking a question. I only saw the final score.

So yes I am serious.

Texas D is very good--too early to tell if elite or not. But, as stated passing game isn't gonna scare anyone.
